I have never encountered this problem with any other application, so I hope someone out there might have a suggestion. While playing KOH my screen will sometimes randomly go black, as if the monitor has lost the signal from the computer. I can still hear the game, but nothing I do will bring it back on the screen. The only fix is to reboot. I have a new alienware machine, tons or ram, fast processor, and updated drivers. I play many games and have never had this happen on any of them on this machine. Can anyone help?

Are you running a background Antiviruse software? Sometimes something like that occurs if your virus scanner trys to steal screan space.

I have my norton active protection disabled. Is there more I should do with it to ensure it does not interfere with the program? I appreciate your response, and if anyone has ideas, please let me know.

I have all newest drivers, brand new alienware computer, etc etc. No one else I talk to has ever heard of a problem like this either.

I had errors with SpySweeper so it's probably some antivirus program.

well, what type of Video card do you have? sometimes maybe certain drivers just act up with certain programs, i had that issue once with Neverwinter nights, i have a geforce 4 440mx when i wanted to play that game i couldn't use the newest drivers but had to revert to 61.77 or it would freeze or go to the desktop, did you flash your mobo to have it up to date? if not that then as a test uninstall the antivirus or firewall to see what happens, do you have any virtual cd drives installed?(like blind write, alcohol,or clone CD)?

I have a similar problem except it's worse.

Out of nowhere the screen goes blue and displays some white text that I can't read because a second later my computer restarts !

I have the latest everything and keep my computer perfect. I don't use any anti-virus.

Other than that the game seems fine for me (but still unpolished.)

Take care.

Emperor it would do the exact same thing for me. Only because I had Spysweeper whether it was turned on or off. Maybe you have that too.
