Copies of KoH

Unlike some of my friends, I value my discs and don't want them to be scratched. I made a successful copy of KoH disc 2 once, but when I try to load it says go to securom.com/copy or something like that. It was a while back, so I don't have the disc anymore, but I was wondering how the game or whatever is able to tell that it's a copy. I would like to be able to play without the original disc.

They have copy protection, thats why there are so many people with toruble when installing the game( I think)
Anyways you shouldn't be making copys of it because it is a property of sunflower meaning only them have the right to make copys and sell it. Therefore they put the protection on the cds to stop piracy( not saying your doing so, but others might try to) from happening.
