Damn "Out of handles"

:bash: If you try to position (right-click hold and drag) more than 960 units(in squads) you get "out of handles" error. :bash:
isn't there any way to increase number of handles?

dang 180 peasants in a squad looked delicious for the archers :lol: too bad, game was really epic on 3x-4x army sizes.

It sais KoH on the title bar. Its a simple message box with close button and ok button.

Dunno as much, it could be windows but i don't know how to increase handle number in windows or KoH.

you cannot increase the handle size in win 2k or xp ... can u open the taskmanger ... in the 3rd tab under the graph are the current handles listed

yes in my current session of winxp pro sp2 handles are slightly less than 5500 and oscilating.
Dunno tough how many handles a unit in KoH uses but i never received such an error from other games(alltough i haven't increased number of units 3x in them).

It should have ran out of memory first ... but the game works fine as long as i don't try to position them all at once(and the player ussually positions as much as 9 units at a time or drags a little by mistake while having 9 squads selected thus it makes it imposible to ignore this error).

i will check our QA tomorrow ... when i work with photoshop, fireworks and flash, me handle usage increases over 10000 and windows gets unstable on a single cpu machine ... at home i've a dual athlon and i don't have this problem ;(

:) well as i said this shouldn't happen in KoH, I have a 2.4Mhz P4 512DDR333 80GB HDD
I hope some1 sparks a solution :)
