Well, the game certainly looks interesting. I'm impressed. Good job you guys! :go:

So how is the gameplay like? Is it like where you build an army of grunts and have a few super-units to help them? Or are the dinosaurs going to compose the greater part of your army? How big are armies expected to be? 20 units, 50 units, 100+ units?

What is the pace of the game? How long could a confrontation between two players stretch out? How quickly could it conclude?

What do you think is the main thing that separates the gameplay of this game from say, Warcraft 3, Warhammer 40k: Dawn of War, Rise of Nations, Rome: Total War?

Thank you for answers in advance.

Depends on your playstyle. Of course, the further you advance, the more appealing the bigger units will seem. Infantry units - if we ignore special troops and heroes for a second now - again are cheaper and faster in terms of production.

Up to 50.

Difficult to answer. Depends on the personal preferences of the players - defensive or offensive approaches - as well as on the size of the map. On a small map it, under certain circumstances, can be over within 5 minutes. On bigger maps, which are suited for 6-8 players and feature more ressources, it could and will go on notably longer.

Rome:TW and , to a certain extent, RoN are different beasts, it would be hard to compare PW to them. I'd say the interface would be one of the noteworthy aspects since it handles the unit management and lets you access every unit directly. Same goes for the level-up concept of units or the heroes, which not only have some special moves, but also unlock certain units or building . If they reach the highest level, a certain bonus to affect the whole faction will be enabled. There's also another neat feature to spice up the initial tactical options in the game, but we'll talk about that at some other point. ;)

iīd say the overall gameplay style of Paraworld can be best compared to Warcraft3 and Age of Mythology. The main differences are how units level up and the way the player composes his army, itīs pretty unique i think (at least i havenīt seen it in other games yet). The interface is unique too in order to support those features.

Greetings to my fellow Knights!!

This is Sir Sam of Wessex!! I came into possession of this excellent game on Thursday of this week. Yet, I do find myself in hot water already.

Where do I go to find how to keep my Kings alive along as possible when playing as France? Spain is getting to be a REAL PAIN in the butt!!!! By the by, who did own Navarre in those days?

Sincerely yours always,

Sir Sam.

Seems you are in the wrong section of the Forum, this is the Paraworld(which has not been released yet) section. Kinghts of Honor questions should be asked in the Knights of Honor section! KoH people may not even see your question here.

Are the mouse buttons (selecting and deselecting) like Warcraft III or Command and Conquer: Generals? Also, how modable will this game be? Is a peon rush possible  ?

Like Warcraft (and most other RTS).
Also, how modable will this game be?
Quite, I guess. Of course, level editor aside, if you want to change the animations you'll need specific software because we cannot deliver [insert name of a rather expensive software package] along with the game. :P
Is a peon rush possible ?
Theoretically, yes. But I'd say chances of it being actually successful are rather low. It also depends on the circumstances and on a few things we haven't talked about yet. ;)

You're probably asking the wrong guy here, but AFAIK the tech tree and whatnot will be accessible, and, granted you have all the required gfx assets, it should be possible.

it should be possible

Really? Shoo shoo, go to a gfx guy and ask

You know there's a better place to ask that question and you know which person it has to be addressed to. :P
