View Full Version : Wood won't be transported to Ore melt-thingy
Here's the problem; I have a big city with lots of buildings and stuff, and a on the other side of the island is an Iron Mine, an Ore melt-thingy (whatever it's called in english) and a Tool make-thingy.
Roads are leading to it (those special roads costing a brick).
The problem is, no wood is being delivered to it for some reason (there is enough wood; I can't stock any more).
Because of this, my game is stuck.
Does anybody know how to fix it or how to bring the wood manually?
I use the Gold Edition of Anno 1602, dutch version.

Hello VDZ, welcome to the board!
The ore smelter needs a market or warehouse or a woodcutter in his area of influence, because he has to fetch the wood from there with his mule.
Oh. Thanks. Why doesn't the manual/website make this clear?

Welcome to the board, VDZ. :halloha:
In my eyes, it is quite clear... The smelter needs ore and wood, and the worker will only get those things if they are located within his area of influence (the highlighted radius you see when you click on the smelter). It's the same with all other production facilities.
To keep the production costs low and to cut the time the mule needs to get wood and ore, I prefer to build the smelter right to a market place. BTW I do the same with the cannon foundry, the toolsmith and (if possible) with the shipyards.

Often I alo do not think about that, because I see it this way: The melter etc can only be built within the incluence area of a marketplace..so it should also be able to get stuff out of it  but later I remeber, that the marketplace must be in the inlfuence area of the melter etc...
