Hi,
I note that Elvain says he has renamed realms in his mod. However, I tried to do the same by inverting two realms (to have them match real provinces better) in realms.ini, but it made no change to the game.
Can someone walk me through how it is done?
Thanks
this renaming must be done in eu_realms.tsv (in texts.pak)
there are 3 columns:
1 - key names - leave it as it is
2 - names on the map - how the province is called in game, change this
3 - adjective form of column 2
I somewhere posted the map with key names of provinces, I'll find it for you and post here too
What I would recomend you:
download HR_mapchanges from HolyRome 1.6 thread and with it you could find how this mechanism works. That will also help you with adding new kingdoms,
search for example Bavarya in all files and watch how I sued it, Bavarya is key name for Bavaria which is newly added kingdom in my mod
edit:
here is the map of original province names..

Thank you Elvain,
I found out how to add new kingdoms (which I did for 800 to have a better representation of the various tribes of Eastern Europe) and I wanted to invert York and Mercia. So I'll put your advice to work.

It worked perfectly well.
Thank you for the help.
