Which version of Anno do you have, are you using a router..and where you trying to join a groupe or host one?

Hi and welcome to the board....

To play MP games you need to have the same version i.e. the german version only plays with the german the US only plays with the US.. also you have to allow for the game to run through the firewall if you are networked. Also the CD should not be in while playin mp games. If you are trying to load a saved game expect it to take a few minutes to transfer files to your comp if you didn host and to the others comps if you did host.. it will probably take at the most 5 mins depending on the size of the file...
