I had a brainwave hit me... when start building houses delete any road going towards industry sectors and put a tree line all around the houseing for and example go to the yahoo groups groups helen has and you have to be a member
and look at the pic I made... i took out 3 sections of road and then wherever grass was I put up trees then the burglar couldnt go through and take anything... Woohoo!!

walls are good but they cost bricks/wood and money.. where trees only cost 5 gold per tree

I just remembered something - one time I tried to catch the robber by planting trees around him and he walked right through the trees! Have you acctually seen the robber contained by trees?

You probably have seen him without knowing who he was. He moves faster than the other people you see moving about on the streets. He caries a club that he uses to beat-up the cartmen and takes whatever supplies are in the cart. Some people have reported seeing him attack other citizens.

Ive seen him get the people who get supplies for the buildings like the ore smelter guy and yes Eric after getting to citizen level with the trees around I havent seen a burglar... the only things allowed in the trees that Ive seen go in are lumberjacks and the deer..

I'm surprised the brugler don't get through the trees - a deer can hide behind one tree, why can't the burgler squeeze himself between two of them? :P

Interesting, this tree thing. I use to build the oresmelter and toolmaker in direct neighbourship to a marketplace, so they can take the backdoor and the cartdriver has a short way also.
