View Full Version : Unachrted isles from Dobber
Ooooh , yesterday I started Uncharted islands, created by Dobber, available here
http://games.groups.yahoo.com/group/Anno_1602/files/Dobber%27s%20Scenario%27s/
A question:
Did someone already finish it ?
And how long did you take please ?

If you are not a member of Yahoo you can get the scen also from the Annopool (http://www.annopool.de/deutsch/comment.php?dlid=460).
I have started last night and did not get far... have to start over. I think it is excellent! The name Dobber stands for quality! :go:
I want to know, where the extra tools are! I can't seem to find the rest of the start up tools.

That Dobber is a very tricky guy!
The tools you are seeking are right "under" your nose.
I finished this one a while back, definetely an excellent challenge for all! :go:
I wonder if Sakim ever found the tools?

I don't know if Sakim found them, but I found them. I just finished the scenario last night. It was a good one.
Mama, I knew you would find them without any problem! You have played scenes by Terry, that is where I discovered that one!
BTW, thanks for the compliment on the scene!
And do you recall how long it took you to complete it? Frieden was curious about length of game time.

It took me a reallllllll long time but I take my time in singleplay, especially with difficult, interesting scenes like this one! I was wondering if everyone who plays this uses the same island as the "main" one. Does anyone else have a savegame showing the completion of the scene?
I'll be showing up around here more again soon, baseball should be over tonight, Sunday at the latest!

I did it now as well... it was fun! :go:
How long did it take me? Don't know, difficult to say. Several days. Lots of hours.
I took the island inside the reef for my 3000 aris, because I was afraid all ore mines outside would be small ones. And I think they are, although I did not use them all. And I have not even checked with the editor.
Here (http://sir.annopool.de/uncharted-henry.zip) is my savegame for Dread Pirate.

I didn't save the end of the game. I do have a save from before I let the people on the main island advance.
I used the largest island for the 3000 aristos. I thought the instructions said to use that one for the largest city.
That is the one that most would think would be used for the 3000 Aristo's, being there is no gold on the outside and the "Black Transport Company" would have to really be used a good bit to get 3000 on the outside. But Mama, you know Terry, he has to figure out the most unconventional way to complete something and go from that angle. You know, just to make it a little harder on himself.

I'm going for 3000 on both now...
Super, maybe I made the goals a little to easy to achieve! Maybe I should have required 3000 on both or perhaps 3000 on the outside and 4000 on the inside! Or maybe a contest to see who can get the most Aristocrats total! All that would need to be done is to add contest to the goals text somewhere, or watermark the map., so people couldn't just continue from their current savegames!
No no no ...the goals are fine, very fine :go:

Just made those 3000 on the outside and 4000 on the inside, but it was hard. And to get the required balance in the end, I had to increase taxes which immediately reduces the population. So I guess I would not have reached the goals including a balance of 7000. Anyway... a tough scenario! :go:
