View Full Version : Anno 1602 Gold edition installation

hello guys,

A few days ago ive bought anno 1602 gold edition (NL version) but the installation progress wont work.

If i insert the anno 1602 cd in the cd drive the autorun screen appears and then i click installation and then autorun program crashes.
If i click the setup.exe icon on the anno 1602 cd it also crashes.

Im trying to install the game on Windows XP proffesional and i read on the anno 1602 official website that Anno 1602 gold edition has a XP installer but it doesnt work on my computer.

can someone help me?

All those options are for anno 1602 not for anno 1602 gold edition.
On the Anno 1602 website they say that anno 1602 gold edition has an XP installer that works perfect with windows XP.

I dont understand why it isnt working on my computer.

ive tried to install it again yesterday and i finally came in the install setup but when the install progress is 90% it gives a warning. I dont know the exact warning cause it was a strange dutch word and i have seen the warning 1 time. The warning was something with the dutch word "redundantiecontrole".

After the failed installation the setup doesnt work anymore, Ive i click on Installation in the autorun screen the program crashes and ive i click setup.exe on the anno 1602 cd it also crashes.

I hope someone has a solution cause i really want to play the game :sad:

Do you have all XP updates? Service pack 2, DirectX, etc........

hmz.... ive buyed the game for 5 euro cause i want to play the game via network with some friends so maybe i just buy anno 1602 and anno 1602 NiNa so i can play it. Ill just buy new one then the game is as cheap as hell so it doesnt matter. :scratch:

If you want to try the German version you should go for the "Königsedition".

Via ebay (http://search.ebay.de/search/search.dll?cgiurl=http%3A%2F%2Fcgi.ebay.de%2Fws%2F &fkr=1&from=R8&satitle=1602+k%F6nigsedition&category0=) or in a German Supermarket (like Real) or other stores (e.g., MediaMarkt or Saturn). But don't pay much more than EUR 10 for it. :wink:
