hello!
i want to ask for permission to clean up the userdatabase. these are possible criterias:
- 12 month or longer none activity
- 1 or less posts + 3 month none activity

möchte gerne die userdatenbank ausmisten. dies wären die kriterien:
- 12 monate oder länger inaktiv
- 1 oder weniger postings + 3 monate inaktivität

Die Kriterien finde ich gut.

So wird es zwar immernoch nie dagewesene Null-Poster geben, aber diese werden dann ja vielleicht bei einer weiter "Ausmistung" gelöscht. ;)

Es wird sicherlich reichen, 0-Poster zu entfernen, welche 6 bis 12 Monate nicht mehr im Forum waren. :wink:

I also think that the posting activity should not be the criterium, but the activity. If someone is registered here and did not come here during the last 6-12 months (let's take 9 months, that's the middle), he is certainly not interested anymore.

I like both of these. I have seen many people post once and we never hear from them again or we don't think we do because they forgot the password or sign on and created a new one. The 1 or less is total posts not the number of posts in 3 months.
For the 12 month and no activity, does the activity include logging in or PM's?

I think that activity means any visiting http://forum.sunflowers.de = being interested in the forum.

There can be many members who don't post, but still visit the forum. They should not be "cleaned up" if they still visit the forum from time to time (PS: what about to write them a message 1 month before their account will be cancelled 11 months after their last activity? it will also remoind them they were part of the community once and maybe they will become part of it again...)

I agreee deleting those who were not here for more thna 12 months
But, please, keep those "alive" who do not post here as much as others. I know some annoistes who only read but do not post = okay for me so far.

by the way ..is this really necessary. If yes -why ?

notwendig ist es sicher nicht, wenn man es aus technischer sicht betrachtet.
aber user haben nen paar mal danach gefragt und "ordnung muss sein"
