Question bout modification of 1602

I have been playing for a long time, just found your website(btw Thankyou Sir Henry, your editor Rocks, and i have some of my own islands. Thankyou) My question is can you change the values of some of the items, ships, production levels etc?

I would want for instance, to make the large trade ship the fastest in the game, and i would like to increase production values on the tobacco plantations

Any help, is much appreciated

AFAIK it is not possible to amend these basic settings. The only thing that has been tried was to exchange some building and ship graphics...

BTW if you have made some own islands, what about uploading them to the AnnoPool (http://www.annopool.de)?

Well i just went to that sight, and WoW, you peeps really been workin ur bones off, My stuff is just adaptations of the origional islands, if you really think you would like to see them, i'll try to post a pic or 3, but i'm not even close to being like those peeps, but it does give me a goal to work towards

Well i took a look at how to do some of the things, and i'm a lil lost on what to do(i'm not all that good when uploading stuff, nor am i good at making a thumbnail)

Any advise or pointing me to the propper tutorials, will be muchly appreciated

I use a freeware graphics program to make my thumbnails. It is called Irfanview and can be downloaded fromhere (http://www.download.com/IrfanView/3000-2192_4-10387524.html?tag=lst-0-1)

...and if you have problems making screenshots, you might need to install the DirectX Control Panel first (download DX 9.0c: here (http://www.majorgeeks.com/download4017.html)) to enable the screen shot ability. :smile:

Well i downloaded that IrfanView, and i think i mad my first thumb, but when i try to upload it to pool, it says it wants a file also. So looks like that's a striker there, I hate to go to the trouble of loading something without it being used, and what i see in there it looks like my schuff is plain jane, is there a place that i can just upload my thumbnail or something(I'm redesighning some stuff now, when i'm really happy with it, i'll put it in)

I think you can just upload the island file to the AnnoPool. If you have any problems uploading the file, you may contact Sir Henry (http://forum.sunflowers.de/member.php?u=2554), he will be glad to help you. :smile:

Hi Darquies, you're welcome to upload your island to the annopool.

In the upload form you will see one entry for your island file (please ZIP it) and another entry for your thumbnail. Fill in both entries and give a short description of your island. It can't be that difficult... :rolleyes:

Well Darquies, I hear you saying at this time you would just like to upload a screenshot. To do that you would select the screenshot file(use Irfanview to change it to a .jpg first) to upload in the space it is asking for a file and place the thumbnail file in the space for the thumbnail. Be sure at the top of the page where it asks you to select the category that you select screenshots.

Ok I just added the screenshot and posted it in the pool. I have like altered all the lar.scp on both nord and sued files, like i said they are basically enhancements to the origional islands(well except for one, which i got the idea from a chap at the downloads, it's called crazyland, Thanx M8) I'll have to learn how to zip the file if i'm going to upload this stuff. Shouldn't be too hard, but then again, i think my stuff isn't all that imaginative, so we'll see if y'all want the files. BTW do any of you guys play this(1602, american version) online?

Hi Darquies, this is not quite what I need for the Annopool. You uploaded the thumbnail as the main file. Please try again, upload the original screenshot (just changed to jpg format) as the main file and the small thumbnail as the thumbnail. Thanks.

Ok, Sir, I think i did it right this time. As about the messenger's I don't use those, i guess i could, but I have strange hours of play(after midnight central standard time) my main game is Eve, but that gets boring, I chill with 1602
