ive not played this game in a long time and just dug it out the cupboard but it wont install in xp. i looked at that thread above but its all in german. i did download the file it suggests but during installation it asks for a 2nd cd. someone please tell me the aint a 2nd cd

try the other file, there is one for the usual(normal) installation, and one for the kings edition, the kings edition recuires 2 cd`s. The other one not.

The XP Installer was created for the basic version which requires one CD. If you have the AddOn, you can activate the option "Install NINA AddOn" - otherwise please let this option unchecked!

Which version do you have?

There is also Timsky's Strategy Guide for Anno 1602, and a German site created by Charlie where you can find lots of tips for Anno - the links are in my signature. For the German site, try an online translator like Google language tools...

after long time , I'm back here,

So previously I have had no problems with installing of AD1602,
but now, I do not know why,
instalation process starts without problems but then it suddenly stopps and tell me that the install. cd has a error, (what couldn't be, because I stored it withou t any touching and removing after deinstalling some months ago.

So I dunno, where the problem can lie.

any ideas?

Its AD1602 Gold Ed., I have XP,

Uninstall the remainings of your installation, if possible, and then try the AnnoInstaller (http://www.annopool.de/deutsch/comment.php?dlid=364) by Ghost Walker. I hope that helps...
