Hi,

Bought a copy of Knights of Honor today.

Installed both discs with ease. When I try to launch the game, it brings up a pop-up window saying: please insert original KOH disc 2. Am I missing something or should I be returning this disc?

How does one know the disc is legal etc. At the end of the pamphlet, I am referred to www.europe.ea.com - any help? Please.

When you start the game, is your CD - 2 (not CD-1) in CD rom?

Welcome to the forum, DragonBoy. :halloha:

This might also be a problem due to your CD-drive. Some older devices don't read the CD correctly due to the copy-protection. If you have multiple cd-drives on your computer try out the secondary drive. Perhaps you might also want to install KoH on a different PC for testing.
If nothing works you are, as far as I know, entitled to refund your CD.
If you have some technical understanding you might also want to try upgrading the CD-drive's firmware, which might solve the problem. But this might be hazardious to the drive and render it broken when not done correctly.

At this point I also usually point towards http://support.sunflowers.de - in case I forgot something which might hlp you.

What do you mean with "two different sets of the game." ?

As far as I know this a hardware issue and not easily solved..

I mean that I tried with one game, it didnt work, i returned it and now it wont work with the new copy.

And it says "insert original KOH disc 2"? If so, then it could be your cd-drive that cannot read the protected KoH disc. Which would mean you have to get a new drive or get the protection off somehow.

Im not getting a new drive. Its only this one pigf*cking game that won't work, i don't think that theres anything wrong with my drive.

What Angryminer said about firmware etc. might help you, I hope.

If you don't know - I wouldn't recommend it to you. Updating the firmware can lead, as Angryminer said, lead to problems.

The drive should have a manufacturer-name printed on it. Visit the website of the manufacturer and read their firmware-upgrade-manual, if there is a more current firmware available for your device.
And please, really, really, read all device on firmware-upgrading the majufacturer gives you. Again, if you do it wrong, you can throw your device in the dustbin.
The procedure is different for each device, so we can't help you here.
