Yes, put your ship next to the shipyard, there will be a hammer and a ship icon next to the red bar, click it

Just raise the white flag. :cool:

The only problem is that they will probably steal the goods from your ship. So, if they do so, they should have a base at the map. Go there, and pay tribute to them - after that, they will not attack you for a while.

And... disarm your ship in the beginning of the game, otherwise it will only start a senseless fight with the pirates instead of sailing away as fast as possible. :wink:

The other thing about ships are... If your wondering how to load troops you hold the LMB down and select the troops you want then hold the crtl button down and then click on the ship. Also to build a ship yard you need at least 120 Settlers and to build a big ship yard you need 500 Merchants, also to actually build the ship itself you need enough cloth and wood!! hope this is enough...

very good advice, it cost me a lot of sunk ships before I learned about raising the white flag. Also it costs you lumber and cloth to repair your ship.

True about the white flag but that only works with teh(this teh is for you Helen ;) ) Pirates.. it can not be used with the computer players... you have to fight it out or try and get back to repair...

Chris, pirates are what he was asking about, apparently he is not having a problem with being attacked by the AI's(unless he is playing my newest scenario "Mysterious Islands") and I don't think he is.
is there also a way how i can evade being attacked by pirates
