hello, i love this game very much but we can only have nine generals (sorry, i forgot how to call them so i will just call them liket that for now) rite? that is a bit too little for me....so what i want to ask is, is there a way to make so we can have more generals? it's ok if they don't show up on the potraits above

if we can't, is there a way so a marshall can hold more units in its army?

sorry ..we cant add more marshall (or generals as you prefer to call them),but we can edit the file to increase the unit size of per squad,say,100men per infantry unit....

Welcome to the forum OAK. Believe me 9 knights are more than enough. Patch up the game and try playing the game at hard level and you will realise that handling even nine will require some considerable mental effort and if you play well, these 9 are enough to make you an emporer. Actually I have never played with more than eight. I leave one slot empty for prisoners!

well, I was able to govern a kingdom with 40+ provinces with 2 marshals and continue in expansion and this lasted 2 king generations as I didn't want to hire some enemy spy and lose those 2 marshals so I waited for "free" prince (who wouldn't become a king)

And exactly when you need free heirs - there are none! I think Murphy's laws cover even Knights of Honor.

I often play with one marshall. It's enough.

I think Oak's question was about total number of knights of all categories not just Marshalls. I don't think any one can actually afford nine marshalls and ask for more! The usual combination I would recommend would be Two marshalls,Two merchants, one clergy, one builder or farmer and one or two spies. Leave one slot empty-always.

Builder? Farmer? What for, in the vanilla game they´re pretty useless. I´ve tried them once, but without them, buildings get built and enough crops farmed anyways, so why bother? Currently, I´m using four marshals, one spy, two Knights acting as merchants and my King acting as cleric when needed (to assimilate population) or as a third merchant.
