Just a quick little question:- Who would actually qualify as a Beta tester, when it becomes availible???
Can't provide a general answer since there still are details to be ironed out. Keep in mind though that most of the testing will be done in Germany, so that's where most of the participants will come from. There certainly is the option to ahve fellow community members join the process, it's just that we can't make any promises at this point.
Might be a good idea to have a few outsiders join in with some of the Beta testing, even if its just to see what effects distance has with Lagg with the game. Was just thinking of the graphics, they look so impressive, was wondering how it might process over the internet.
Not sure what speed your internet connections are in germany, but here in the UK its not to great. but getting better. I'm currently running on an Unlimited 8 meg connection but it only has a 256k upload, which really s.u.c.ks tbh...

why is the beta limited to germany? an international beta would bring more attention to the game, and imo having more players is always better ^^
the bfme2 beta was limited to ppl having pre-ordered the game, selected members of the community, and fileplanet subscribers (of course there was a big ad for the beta on fileplanet then).

this beta will be free right?

all the graphics are done on the client, you're not going to send any graphics via net from one client to another ;)

Releasing an international beta at some point is always an option, but we're definitely launch the test in just one territory for a variety of reasons related to the ease and efficiency of administration, distribution and communication.

I hope that territory is Europe!
Becouse I'm from the Netherlands (the country at the west of Germany).
And I can speak (a bit) German...
