View Full Version : Sounds
I've been really curious as to what kind of sounds will be heard in ParaWorld, specifically the ones for the saurians and the beasts ("beasts" meaning the mammals). Are they going to be completely original sounds, modified slightly from other games (I recommend Carnivores: Cityscape for some pretty impressive roars, especially the calls of the Giganotosaurus and Oviraptor), or the basic rumbling elephant noises? Or something else? Aside from the actual gameplay, sound has always been a really important feature in games to me...
Oh. And I'm curious about in-gameplay music, too.
they are all original, you can't just grab sounds from other games and modify it a bit, well you could but it would break some copyright laws ;)
the music was all done by a orchestra, you can hear one sample song of the soundtrack when you go onto the main page and get it from the downloads/music section :)

Well, the reason I asked about that (in regards to your first answer) is because I've seen quite a few games who have actually done that. Primal Prey and Zoo Tycoon: Dinosaur Digs are two examples. And I didn't know that, that there was a music section on the site (yeah, I'm kind of slow). Nice, I'll be sure to check it out. Thanks for replying.
