Hello!

We know we will be able to play normal (team-)deathmatch and the defender-type of match.
Now I'd like to suggest a third type, being the open field battle. I quite enjoyed those in KoH and it would propably also be a good addition to paraworld. Let's get more specific:
1. Two players meet for an open field battle on a server.
2. Both have a specific amount of points, preferably skulls.
3. The players buy units from their points and grant them a position in the army-triangle.
4. The players spawn on a map with their army.
5. No buildings can be constructed on the map.
(We might talk about simple defensive buildings for the dustriders, as their warriors can construct buildings).
6. One army stays alive, the other doesn't.

This will propably not find it's way into the release, but I'd like to suggest it nevertheless.

Funnily enough, you can play the game pretty much that way in its current state. :) Thanks to the Army Builder the players can set up an army ahead of the actual game. There are three different point settings depending on how many units you want the players to be able to get. After that you launch the game and - et voila. The only thing we don't do is keeping the players from erecting buildings. Of course, both players simply could agree on not producing any buildings and simply meet on the battlefield. (And if someone tries to cheat by building something nevertheless it'll be revealed by the statistics anyway.)

So, it's possible to start a match with a full army and just beat the hell out of each other. ;)

Well, we can't really integrate any new modes anymore at this point as you may guess. After all, feature completness is one of the basic requirements for the beta. And new features are always a potential source of bugs.

That said, we won't keep anyone from creating game modes via mods after the release. And if the game sells well enough for us to develop an add-on or a sequel some day, we're certainly going to take 'high demand features' suggested by the community into consideration. (Would be stupid to ignore that. ;) )

That sounds very cool, but will there be a default / recommended option that the game should be played at for optimum balance? I'm an avid RTS player, and I would hate to see most people playing at maximum point / huge army at start options which would destroy a lot of the economic part of the game.

Btw this is my first post, and Paraworld looks set to be a great game!:hello:

hmmmm it is definitely possible to lock the techtree via the leveleditor, so you are free to build such maps on your own, you just have to lock all buildings. well everyone will have his starting position (ressource collector, town center, fireplace) but with a full army and no possibility to construct any buildings, you'll only have your army. wasting army controller space with workers who can't build anything would be pretty much senseless ;)

ya and i spose they have like 5 damage per attack, so they would be fodder:)
