playing GoG, can't call a crusade

trying out GoG for now, but I think i may switch to Lauden's soon to check that out also. At any rate, I can't seem to call crusades with my pope, the option is grayed out for some reason. Is this a feature disabled in this mod or what?

you need to have enough resources = gold and piety
