Ok, so I installed KoH without any problems, and when I go to run it, it tells me to disable any anti-virus or anti-Trojan programs or debuggers, and I do, or at least I think I do, because when I run the game again, it still tells me to disable any anti-virus blah blah. Is there some kind of program I'm missing? I disabled my XP anti-virus protection, firewall, ewido anti malware, spyware doctor, and symantec anti-virus. I even went into the task manager and started ending any processes that might have anything to do with the problem, but I eventually got down to my svchosts and other critical system processes, and the program tfswctrl.exe, which, from all acounts, has absolutely nothing to do with viruses or trojans, is there something I'm missing, and is this even the right forum to be querying? I'm so confused! Thank you for your time.

I had the same problem and spent four hours on this last night trying to resolve. Treid everything. disabled all the services that were not listed in readme, that just made the game have a illegal operation. After lots of testing and experimenting diffirent combination of services running I finally gave up.

So I went to the web, and found a hack that disables the copy protection, and voila I was able to load up the game! :hello:

I find it ironic that the copy protection prevented a legally bought copy of the game, from playing. I find it even more ironic that to resolve this issue I had to go to the very resource that the copy protection was created for combat, so that I could.... play my legal copy of the game!!!!!!!!!!

Uh...JoWood .... and their copy protection JoWood XProt is a mess. It also deletes files the system (for me related to my DVD burner), which has been confirmed independently. Regfix showed some other problems post install of this game, which Regfix resolved. Alos had some brand new system stability issues that occured directly after post install of the game (which Regfix seemed to resolve) ...thanks JoWood.

I can tell you I will NOT buy any more JoWood products till they drop their copy protection. I thought StarForce was bad, but this XProt is WAAAAAY worse!
