Stone will not be a resource (valuable) anymore, the same way as weapons, wood, etc; but you still need weapons, food, and stone for your siege weapons.

yes, you need it. but as frujin wrote, its senseless to use stone and lumber as resource, cuase its everywhere in the map/world.
so i suggestto use iron and coal, instead, if they wanna use resources. if not ok, i am fine, too
but i can understand that stone and lumber is just there without any management,... taht woukd be like someone is selling air for daily consume. so just take it :-)
I suggest people as the real resource.
I'm gald they did away with the stone/wood resources- people and piety!
