Good point but I am kinda assuming this is true. It would be a joke if they just disappeared...

i dont really agree w/ the poll since it presumes not much reality effects. (why not have 3rd option w/ more effects?)
I understand the concern about not being Hollywood action but im kinda tired of most strategy games where units just fall after a few exchange of attacks. Can koh be different? (frankly, i do expect some Holywood actions/realistics effects, like from braveheart, lord of rings, although maybe not to the same extent:)

it has mainly to do with 2 things
1. games with too much violence and blood can be put on the "index" means you dont get the the legal way if you are under 18/21
remember what problem C&C generals had in europe specially germany
2. the moral of the producing company. if themself think blood and such things is too brutal they can decide to let it out
example: in the u.s. people dont have a big problem with movies with much vilonece and gore. but when you see some tits (i remember about j. timberlake and j. jackson ;)) the country runs mad and faces turn red.
in countrys like germany is different,... games the vilonece thing (specially games) are not really liked by the government and by some other people, but its not big discussion when you see some tits in german tv.
i dont know how many of you are under 18/21, but i bet you would hate, if you must leave the game in the shelf cause the shop assistent tells you: "sorry, your personl id-card shows me that you dont have the age to buy the game!"
and don tell me they dont check it! i have seen myself that shops do it when they think that the customer doenst have the needed age to buy the game!
If there is no blood hmm...
Will the bodies stay there a while after they die, and maybe rot really fast like in AOM/AOM:tt.. just to give the cool effect that there was a battle...
Games like american conquest lost points there.. cause the units would dissapear as soon as they hit the ground.
Dev's would you be able to clear this up!? do units dissapear instantly? and do they stay on the ground before they dissapear? are there any effects.. ie bones, or sounds?

Thanks Frujin.
As usual, seems the developers ahead of us again... good job.
As to Janet jackson's "boob.." uh... I was only running around redfaced because she's not really JJ she's MICHEAL and THAT PROVED IT!
LOL- Americans are so stupid about that stuff- the violence versus sex thing...
And I can say that 'cause I am one: stupid american.
I found one thing now very silly. One czech TV is always playing american action movies full of blood and violence and when day News came, their reporters are always wondering why brutality of people, especially children increase(in last few weeks we have 3 teachers/students killed by their 12-15y old students/classmates) so much and ask everybody to do something with it. And about an hour later, you can see rivers of blood in the same chanell. Isn't it silly?
I don't wanna offend anybody here, but it's so AMERICAN
I'ts quite fun as a Dane to read about the "moral standards" in other countries - coz we don't have all these moral issues here - ie. almost anything goes: we have violent american movies on the tv, documentaries about sexual issues and so on and although we have agelimits on movies at cinemas these are only recommendations so noboby cares about them anyway and i could go on and on.
Now, some of you maybe think that we have a "rotten" sociaty in Denmark, but we belive in liberty to choose and do what you want - as long as you don't hurt anybody. I also think that it is important to mention that we haven't had a single highschool shootout yet and i don't think that our crimerate are any higher than the countries we usually compare ourselves with.
It's also worth to keep in mind that if a thing is illigal it's much more "interesting" ( for some at least ) than legal things - i'll guess that humans in general are sorta drawn toward thing which are forbidden.
Btw, we are WAAAAYYYYYYY off-topic.

haha. That sounds quite stereotypical of American mind sets. They were just discussing differences... no need to be like that.

i'll agree with ya greywulf - If we absolutly have to stay off-topic the least everyone can do is to keep a polite tone - as far as i'm concerned nobody is better than than others ;)

I guess Frujin's answer means good satisfaction. No overwhelming brutality, but still the game looks like real. The units are too big to be cut into pieces by an enemy.
Thanks, Frujin. That's great
Sorry for returning it back off-topic :(
Nobody said people in USA are violent. There was only mentioned Hollywood movies which are full of violence and brutality.
And there was comparison of USA with Germany, nobody said one is better than other...
I think the best is danish system, but it requires people ready to see what they wanna see...
I alo agree with Henrik: we say in here: Forbidden fruit tastes the best
well like American games seem to focus on violence. not like KoH
