First of all I must give credit to Lauden for bringing this game back to life for me. Other mods I've tried were also done quite well and no doubt inspired many of what culminates in Laudens so I must give credit to the community as a whole for simply surviving and extending the hours of fun I've had and will continue to have with Knights of Honor.
Now I noticed that now more then before I crash to desktop and it seems to happen during battles, last night it hapened three times in a row since I installed the special version of Laudens mod that removes the garrison. Any ideas why? Also I should point out that the instructions for installing this mod were difficult for me to understand so if someone could post them more clearly for me, he posted in a thread for me two seperate links for two zip folders. Am I to install them both? If so how? Don't they overwrite each other?
Also on the matter of events he added, I haven't seen any yet, but it could be because I get completely destroyed early in the game every time which I'm actually very happy about. But it could also be because i didn't install it correctly.
Next I need to know if Kingdom power has any effect and rather I should simply ignore it or keep it high, I raised it to 1 and it gave me no extra income.
Lastly are two issues most important to me. If anyone is familiar with this mod, please let me know if the AI builds improved castle defenses or not. I want to have to siege walls with towers and ballistas! So if this mod does now bring this about, please suggest how this might be achieved. I noticed he raised the price for the castle defenses to a rediculous amount which seems to me counter productive, is there a method to this in actually encouraging or does it make the AI not want to buy it?
The last issue related to the previous is siege equipment. I noticed he allowed ladder men to be recruited just as any infantry might be so as to encourage the AI to use them, but what about the other siege weapons? Is the AI capable of recruiting them? Does the AI know to use them for siege or is it more of a random occurence for them to recruit them? Is the AI at all capable of recruiting with the four extra siege equipment slots? If not then is it because they must train the ability? Because if thats the case would removing the requirement for the ability help this matter? Let me know as much as you all can, I know I asked a lot of questions.
