I like the story of great bulgarian fight agains Byzantines, but, to be honnest, I was on the side of Romanoi. Not because of Bulgarians, but because of this "proud" empire, successor of Rome, highest civilisation of medieval Europe, but blamed by latins, because of their jealousy. And also because they overstood all attacks from both sides, from Asia and Europe, muslims, pagans and christians and they stood alone only with bribed allies untill those, fascinated by their culture, became their enemies. It was very corumpted state, no doubt, but they stood, proud and alone, untill the end.

PS: proud I don't mean badly but opposite. Really high!

Sadly, for every great Bulgarian, there is a great traitor. And now we ended up with bulgarians living outside of our border. In Romainia, Serbia, Macrdonia, Greece, Turkey. Oh well with the europeion union all this wouldn't matter. And I hope those people will have the chance to reveal their true history.
