KoH failed, out of memory!

I was playing, everything doing fine when suddenly the game disappeared and was replaced with an error message - "fatal error- out of memory", I am running WINXP and virtual is managed by the system, and I have 6.67GB of free disk space. My Ram is 512MB.

Hmm, very strange. Maybe set the virtual memory at a constant minimum/maximum and not letting the system decide? Perhaps KoH did not receive enough space on the HD fast enough. Setting the VM a bit greater might help (probably there's somewhere on the internet a topic on how much memory you'll need with 512 MB ram).

I did forget to mention, I had been playingfor a while and then doing other things, then back to playing and so forth and had not rebooted my system in the 72 hours leading up to that point. Something could have just not released resources back to the system.
