I have been in line to be a beta tester for the past three releases starting from Anno1503, Knighs of Honor, Paraworld and now this Anno1703. Can someone please tell how to enroll? What am I doing wrong. Been playing their games for the past so many years but still : (

Now to my questions... will you folks give us more of that staring at village life kinda game ...that was a strong appeal of the Anno series... robust engine and excellent eye candy

I fear that the beta test will be restricted to the German version... If you speak German, feel free to apply via the German 1701 page (http://www.anno1701.de)

I edited the title of the thread so the topic of the discussion is clear.

They should do some test for an English version (to make sure all the English is right)

The usual problem with foreign betatesters is a legal problem. Every betatester has to sign a contract that he shares no information about the game with anyone who isn't affiliated to the betatest. In the case of international contracts this is problematic, because when a tester doesn't obey the contract it will take ages until a lawsuit against him is initiated - in international matters these things take time, a lot too much time to keep any information about the betatest from leaking to the public.
Sunflowers just wouldn't be able to make sure that the betatest remains closed.

At least that is my explanation.

AngryminerAs far as I know, there don't seem to be signed papers involved in this betatest. It's much simpler for SF to deal with German speaking people only and they only need German versions of whatever they seem to give out for testing..

hey cheer up guys dont worry the guys at sunflower will give us a chance to beta test anno 1701 since the game was first made in germany they have to traslate german - english so i guess maybe in the next few months we get are hands on a demo or somthing , if they didnt release a demo , then people would loose intrest in the game since after all there no point buy anno 1701 if u dont know if it works on ur pc , so a demo is a good way to try out if ur pc runs smooths or lags , but anyway dont worry i think there gonna be a demo out by end of this month

German is an easy language to comprehend similar to english, and the website is written in English.
