how will the church take part in the game? i havent seen a church on any of the city screenshots??

What the question should be: Is there a church in the game and if what is it doing?

In Stronghold there was something with religion.

I'm interested in whether or not the church plays an important role or not. Will there be an inquisition. Will the church or even the pope himself influence your actions through blackmail/advice/excommunication, or will churches simply be a way of keeping people happy, like in Stronghold?

i hope the 1st question istead of them just being happy. i want them to look nice so they can beautify any city:)

Church has very strong impact on your performance. We have included both town churches and countyside monasteries.

Good to hear that. The real medieval church definately played a far more important role in politics than it does in Stronghold.
