In the game your able to command your units in a fight.
Will you be in the fight as a knight too or not. And if you are there will the game be over if your figure dies?

The player is always King but he can control Knights by his own, it is like King issuing to the Knight a strategy.

A King can attend to a battle too (represented by a King unit) and the mechanics are the same as fighting with Knights. But when the King dies the game does not end but the succession feature comes in to place.

I think he means Scenarios based on historical periods. Say 1066 the battle of Hasting, as a scenario and then you proceed from there. Or is it just one grand campaign where you always start from the same point in time every game.

I'm pretty sure that you don't always start the campaign from the same point in time. I think you can chose between the early, the middle, and the late middle ages.

I'm also curious, how do you lose a game or win for that matter. I'm guessing if "world" domination is obtained that is one way and whether or not you counties are taken. But are there various ways to lose i.e. lose 80% of your counties. Lose ### of men total in a battle. Build an army to a certain count etc.

What are the winning and losing conditions?

You lose the game when you lose your last Castle. Also, there is an option to make your King's death cause for defeat.

We will have single battle scenarios but the main game mode is one HUGE campain and VERY dynamic. And since you can choose fractions and different time periods, it will be always a different game experience, as you have to adapt your strategies to the new situation = different geographical and economical situation etc.

Ah see, just as i thought, you can make a do or die last mission defending your final castle to the death.

Which factions will be playable, I saw something about Norway and Harald Hardrada at the site ( though I'd like to add that the flag next to him is the danish ), I certainly hope that it won't be as it is in Medieval: TW where there are all these unplayable factions, and even worse: the not included ones, where there's only rebels.

As Frujin mentioned somewhere else, there will be 20+ fractions ...

In that essence it means when you lost your last realm = you dont have any land left. A realm is conquered when the castle is conquered.

Could you detail how succession is planned to work?
