Sorry if this has been brought up in the nations thread, but I think Languedoc or Toulouse should be in the game. I call it Toulouse although technically it is probably called Languedoc.

Anyway I think it should be in the game at least in the early period because it was basically an independent nation. Although it was not ruled by a king, it didn't acknowledge any king or ruler other than it's own. Basically it was supposed to be claimed by Aragon but they never actually ruled it.

Also the Cathars had their greatest following there which led to the Albigensian Crusade in the early 13th century. (I've been reading a book about the Albigensian Crusade so this kinda sparked my interest in Toulouse).

BTW correct me if my facts are wrong, but I sincerely hope Toulouse is in the early period at least.

And does anyone know of a good strategy game out now, I really need a game to play since Lords 3 was a huge disappointment.

Tip:
Europa Universalis II.
Look at it's homepage here (http://www.paradoxplaza.com/EuropaUniversalis.asp).
This game is extremely addictive and fun... (and really cheap nowadays).

if you like games like eu2, i also recommend "hearts of iron" from paradox entertainment. it was great satisfaction to kick the german empire's a**, when playing as austria, czechoslowakia or poland

if you like (very) old games, i suggest dune2, the first "modern" rts game.

civilization2 and 3 also are great fun.

I have had EU2 for 2 years and I have to say it is an extremely awesome and addicting game. I thought it looked stupid when I first looked at the screenshots but it was the best $40 I have ever spent. I have Warcraft, Starcraft, and War of the Ring but I'm kinda tired of them.

I think I'll just wait for KoH to come out and in the meantime I'll be playing MTW & VI.

So, does this silence mean that Languedoc is in the game, or does it mean that I my facts are completely messed up and that it won't be in the game.

I would really like anyone's thoughts or ideas on Languedoc and whether it will be in the game.

there is no public list to day of all realms and all kingdoms.

i guess there will be a realm toulouse, but no independent kingdom languedoc. for what i know, languedoc was always a part of france respectivley its antecessors.
but im no languedoc expert

Sure that Tolouse or Languedoc will be in game at least as a realm (realm in KoH means one region like for example Orlean, Swabia, Franconia and Bohemia are here (http://www.knights-of-honor.net//english/screenshot.php?screenshot=0092&all=0092|0091|0090|0089|0088|0087|0086|0085|0084#) )but I'm not sure if also as kingdom (kingdom in KoH is a state consisting of realms, on the Screenshot i showed kingdom of Austria consist of realms Austria, Salzburg and Tyrolia)

If my guess is right, it should be independent in middle entry point (high middle ages, in early part of Frankish empire, in late part of "centralized" France) as a vasal of France, because it was almost independent before 1220's. Count of Tolouse was alongside with duke of Aquitaine (english 1152-1453), Anjou (english 1152-1204) duke of Normandy (english 1106, in 1066-1087 England was part of Normandy :)) an counts of Blois, Champagne and Flandres and dukes of Burgundy and Bretagne the most powerfull vassals of french crown, almost independent on it, untill times of Phillipe Augustus (1180-1223) and Luis the Saint (1226-1270). From those, leading forces were counts of Tolouse and Flandres and king of England as ruler of 3 most wealthy areas of France

Thanks for all the information guys.

Sorry about that, my meaning was to ask if you thought Toulouse would be in the game an an independent nation. I hope that it is in at least one period. But, if its not it wont affect my purchase of KoH.

If you liked EU and EU2, you should get Crusader Kings, being released on 23rd of April. It covers the period from 1066 to 1453 and let's you play every King, Duke or Count of Christendom.
