im curious about how you would plan your attack on an enemy city.

this is my plan.

part 1=i would march quitely and fast in to the kingdom . close ther lines with other kingdoms (that may be one of ther allies). the to ther army i would move my men to ther camps and attack them at night.

part 2=ween ther forces are gone i would take the chance to siege ther capital.i would use my siege weapons to crush ther archers (on the walls in the towers etc etc).then to ther port =break it move in my forces and send a message =lend me your kingdom or i shall take it with power.if he fights i will excute him slow and painfully. if he gives me it right away i excute him fast if i change my mind about excuteing i will make him slave .

this is just a simple explainsion im to lazy today to write about the more advanced 1

There are X number of old sources mentioning people doing this, so far I've found it in Heimskringla, Saxos History of the Danes, The Nestors Chronicle and perhaps also in the Anglo-Saxon Chronicle I can't remember.
What you do is that you when the birds living under the roofs of the buildings in the town fly out of the town to get food or something you catch them. Then you attach something burnable to them, set it on fire and release them. Now they'll fly back to the nests, thus setting a rather large portion of the towns houses on fire (depending on how many birds you've caught). I've always wondered if anyone really did this..

Their are some tactics already known, so you can use them and make some **** up yourself.
Like my plan is to build an army as big as my whole kingdom (i like to fantasize :P) and with that army i just keep on marching and just rush the enemy castle. And i will keep my moral up by hiring some nice naked girls ;)

ah.. now i see ;)
well.. there could really be thousands of possibilities how to conquer an city, bus i would say that i first try to hit the enemys fighters (sword etc.) with my swordmen, the cavalry, spearmen etc.. later i would use archers, longbowmen etc.. at last i would use machines like catapult ore towers to conquer or destroy cities

Well about a kingdom I'll use 'Divide & Conquer'.I'll pay on some of their knights or will use a spy to divide or decreese their army and then rush with all I have. But the most important is to destroy
the army of your enemy. About the castles if they'r smaller asault is the best, but if I'm deal with strong castle or evan capital siege or spies are the best.

It depens if you want minor civillian casualities or don't mind you.

The first one siegeing the city until the low minition and people starve, forces the city to surrender or die.
But if don't mind you. Circle the city and burning it to the base, or from secure distance bombing it also to the base.

I think I would use at least two armies, one without siege weapons, but with very well trained soldiers who "clean" the way to the town. The second armie would be one with a lot of siege weapons and not so much soldiers.

And when they surrender i will hange all of them in near be forest, to lower the enemy morale with such news.

Or cut them on pieces and send them to enemy king as present
