Hi ppl this is just a quick question in the unit animation for the horse archer on the main website it stops to shoot an arrow will it always do this?
I hope not!!! Turks and Mongols were deady because they shot in full fast, not stopping to shoot.

Maybe this is the difference beteween "horse archer" and "steppe horsemen"?

Is it possible to tell a squad to 'move' there and 'shoot' at those people?
I guess not.
So I guess they will all stop to shoot their arrows.
Just a matter of controlability.

maybe you could que it up or hold a key which when u told them to attack after moving to a place they shoot at the unoit while moving  this could work.

I think maybe Kuno is right. That would be a key difference and would make the steppe horse archers much more effective.

I agree.
The mongols and turks specialization was their good archery and shooting then they are mounted the running horse. For them it were weaponry, they hadn't problems here. And in many pictures of Middle Ages we can see how shoots mongol soldier:he is turned ahead or turned back, and horse are running (legs are in action).
:)
But I don't know how shoots steppe horseman, but we will see.

The shot when turned around was called the parthaginian shot i think and it took a long time to master

this is only to show us how this unit will move in the game and not about how how the fight will look like, so dont worry

Sure? If you are right, why do they not shoot at the same time, I think it wouldn't be such a big difference to make that he shoots at the same time when he is moving...
