Okay....
So where do I find the map editor after I installed it?
I'm having trouble at the start of the campaign missions. I can get my units to move, but I can't get them to do things like gather resources or build.
To demonstrate:
I have a worker. I tell him to build a cottage. The building's construction site appears and he gains a hammer in his hand, yet he doesn't move from his original position to build.

Try this:
Got to start ---> all programs ---> ... ---> ParaWorld ---> Clear ParaWorld Cache... and try again :go:
or, if it is not there anymore, go to "X:\...\ParaWorld\Tools" and run ClearCache.exe

Okay, I got a problem.
My games lags TERRIBLY. But its a one side lag. Whenever I tell my units to go somewhere, they sit there for maybe up to 15 seconds before moving. This is a real pain when your fighting, and you want pull a unit out because it is too weak. By the time you notice it is in trouble, its pretty much already to late. The same goes for buildings. When I click for a unit to build something somewhere, the area stays blank for 15 seconds or more before the building foundation is laid out. Now, this is not the case for my enemies, who seem to be just dandy in there building and unit commanding ways. I have noticed, however, that when units are walking, they suddenly jump a foot back and continue walking. Also, if you tell a squad of your units to attack a an enemy squad, they will stay there like I said, but then suddenly zap in front of the enemy and start attacking them.
This is EXTREMELY annoying, and I would like any help possible.
Note: I have installed the patch, but it did not help
You may need to lower your graphics settings! Or turn off certain settings!

But it never did this until only a little while ago. It worked perfectly before then.
Then perhaps there is something that has been added to your PC that is running in the background using resources needed for the game!
Or even perhaps you have picked up some trojans that are hijacking resources connecting to the web.

Perhaps.... But do you think that instantly changing ranks on the computer would affect it? My father just took me off of the "administrator" ranks because I downloaded all the games I wanted to (You need Administrative capabilities to download things) Would that affect anything at all?
(Oh, and Paraworld was the last game I downloaded)

Maybe your father did not shut down all processes before leaving his account...
So some processes might run twice
You know, if you click on "change user", the programs and processes of the user who was there first will not close but stay in the background.
Does the problem even appear if you reboot your PC and play afterwards?
PS: You download games?

It still lags even after I shut down the computer for the night and then reboot it.
And by download I meant download them off a disc.

Try "Cleaning the PW Cache" first. The use the "Defrag Tool".
You can find this by starting Windows Explorer, and right-click on your hardrive C: and choose "Properties". Then choose "Extras" on top and "Defrag now".
BUT: Then just choose "Test the drive" donīt defrag. Testing doesnīt hurt anything, defragging the drive could make some problems (Some programms like virus scanners can be damaged in the process.)
Please post the result (in %) here. Fragmented disk space can cause a lot of lagging ingame.
EDIT: Sorry if the names of the buttons sound a little bit different. I only got the german version.
I'm having a glitch where I produce units, and the unit finishes, but it never actually appears. It's not a case of invisible units, as the progress finishes but just stays there. I've cleared the cache many times, but to no avail. :(
Did they EVER playtest this game?
I myself would like to have a better description of the problem.
Not sure that I understand what you mean by just stays there! Stays where? Which training facility? Which unit(s)? Are they in the army controller, but not on the playing field? What happens when you select them in the army controller and attempt to move them?
It happens with ALL units and ALL buildings.
I'll provide an example:
I want to produce an Ankylo catapult. I click the icon, and wait for it to finishing training. However, when it finishes, the unit does not appear, and the icon in the Army Controller stays faded to indicate the unit has not finished training.
And Now that you have explained, I have no idea of the cause!

Rapator, reinstall the game. This sounds very strange.
It's happened before, but I've restarted the saved game and it's gone away eventually.
The strange thing is, the bugs only happen to me in the campaign.

what exactly does clearing the Cache do? Does it delete map editor files?

It deletes old Session or so called Temporary Files (mostly within the Documents And Settings folder). If you try it, a list of the deleted files is shown afterwards. Never heard that someone had problems with the editor by cleaning the cache.
@ Rapator S**t. Btw I never had serious problems with Paraworld. Got normal and gold version on 2 different pcs and tested the trial one on some friendsī, all fine so far (ok except Multiplayer connection problems occured by routers). There is a similiar problem with the replay section. If you load a replay while already running one, the units stand there doing nothing. But that is noted in the manual. Maybe you try this: If you load a game do it from the main menu and see if it helps.

Ok, I have two problems that are really perturbing me.
1. The movies get these black lines and flicker. Especially the intro video. I even tried playing it outside the game where potential lag would not be an issue and still got the same effects. Unfortunatly I can not get a screenshot of it since the moment I pause the video file, the problem disappears.
2. Lag, especially the audio. This definitly should not be happening since my computer specs go well beyond the call of duty. I have an AMD Athalon 64 X2 3800+ Dual Core Processor, 1 gig of ddr ram and the GEForce 7800 GS - 256MB with the Sound Blaster Audigy Sound Card. I tried running it at 1280x1024 (Which also is the resolution used to run more graphics intensive games like Quake 4 and Half-life 2 without any problems) AND the default 1024x768 both lag mainly if not only in the audio department. I am correct in assuming that the game has been optimized?
