Yeahhh, it's going to be on hell of a party :go: i think our nations capital will be absolutly overcrowded with happy people - the last time we had marriage where it was the hier to the throne who got married was back in 1967 ( the June 10 in 1967 ) where our queen H.M Margrethe the 2nd. got married to the French count Henri Marie Jean André count de Laborde de Monpezat ( H.R.H Prince Henrik of Danmark for short ! :D )
btw, i have heard that newpapers and magazines in australia are going creazy over this event
One Hell of a party is right.
Its the first time an Australian, has ever married into a Royal family, I think.
So the papers and TV. are going crazy.
One of the better stories in News lately, for sure.
personaly i fear that it will even worse here in Denmark - with only four days left the media has begun to "warm up" - i've just seen a broadcast about Mary and her life before she became engaged to our crownprince and after they met - i personaly got a quite good impression of her actually :) - i also think she will end up mastering our language - her father said that she had begun to speak english with an accent !!!
Btw, if anyone is interested Crownprince has his own homepage in english: The Crown Prince (http://www.hkhkronprinsen.dk/english.php) - here you'll also be able to see the monogram which the two will be sharing - it's designed by the queen - she's quite an artist.
Cool, great job done by the Queen.
Just saw Mary and Prince Frederik on TV again, they were touring Mary's old family home in Tasmania.
Prince Frederik seems like a nice bloke, very down to earth kinda fella.
Mary was saying she wants to have lots of children.
lucky Prince:)
btw. Mary does speak with an acsent now

Yeahh, he's the real deal :go: down to earth and all that. It's said that he is able to speak with both common folks and royals, and everybody feels quite comfortable in his presence. He is also quite tough, coz he has undergone some pretty harsh military training so apart from his great knowledge about foregin affairs - both political and economical he also the equivalent to a navy seal !!! i think that when he ended this training at the specialforces and people learned he had become "frogman" this made him stand out, because everyone here knows that out of a 100 aspirants who tries to become a "frogman" only 3 - 6 completes the training, so we admire him quite a lot for his achievements and not only because his a member of the monarchy.
His Education & Training (http://www.hkhkronprinsen.dk/41000c)
the "official" Denmark has also held a celebration for the happy couple tonight and i must say that she (Mary) starts to look more and more like a real princess - i think they look quite good together :go:
btw, i think that it was the same broadcast i saw as you just have seen, so this accent business wasen't a lie afterall  - i think this reason could be that she has undergone a very extensive training in danish language, so she will be able to speak with her "new people" in their own tounge - this will NOT make less popular i can guarantee you that !

Yeahh, we all are very fond of him and the rest of the royal family - around 88% of the population are royalists in Denmark that leaves room for only 12% republicans and people with other ideas......
G'day
So Prince Frederik was in SF's , cool.
He dosen't look old enough to been SF.
{average age of Aussie SAS 28-29}
But you have to respect Prince Frederik for being able to complete his training so well.
I served in the Aussie army, for 6 years, and that was hard enough.
Big Day for Mary and Frederik tomorrow.:D
yeahh, i really hope the meteorologists have done some miscalculations, coz they'll expect some rain when the married couple drives through the streets of Copenhagen - so they might have to make the trip from the church to Amalienborg ( residence of the Queen - where they'll wave to the people from a balcony ) in a closed coach instead of an open.
but maybe we'll get lucky and it won't rain afterall - one can only hope...
btw, are any of you Aussies gonna follow the event on tv ?
Your kidding right ?:D
I think even the Aussie republicans will watch !
After all its the first time an Aussie has become Princess.
One TV station in particular has been doing lead up stories, everynight this last week.
The Monarchists over here haven't been this happy since Dianne married Prince Charles.:)
At least Mary won't have to worry about Redback Spiders and Taipan snakes anymore:go: :)

okay ! - i had heard a little something that this upcoming marriage had made some headlines, but i honestly didn't think it could make such a fuss - i'll guess being a royalist is an "universal" feeling, coz when we talk about the royals in general this talk can go on and on for hours - especially my mother ! she is almost an "expert" in royal knowleges - to me it seems like she knows just about everything there is to know - so she has ofcaurse taken the day of from work on friday - she wouldn't miss it for the world !!!!
I'll probably watch tv from around midday and untill they have danced the wedding waltz and the call it a day....
btw, i know that there has been some debating in Australia about this whole royal issue regarding the english crown, but do you think it be the same now that Australia get's it a princess of their own so to speak ?
Regarding those poisonous snakes and spiders then she can be quite calm we only get one viper which can cause a somewhat nasty bite - it's somewhat rare to die from a bite of one of those !
I will have to tape it:(
It Will be on TV at night in Australia, and I have to work nightshift:(
Just hope the kids don't tape over it before I watch it.
It's quite fun to read the Tasmanian & Australian news coverage of the pre-wedding - coz it give a good impression of how foreginers perceive the danes.....
