Anyone here played or plays this great game? If you'd like to play online with great role-playing in Freeworlds style, but in vanilla Freelancer, check http://www.freeworldsvanilla.com/forum/ . You coud join my faction (Red Hessians), or become the leader of another one, since there are many free spots!

I remember playing that game quite a few times. It managed to create a very living and believable world.

I see that what you advertise is a new project. What exactly seperates it from other, more populated servers? I'm just asking out of curiosity to get a better idea of what that project is. No hidden criticism at all - every project has to begin some day.

The main difference is the mod. Unlike others, this one mainly tries to balance the vanilla game, rather than add new ships and planets. This allows better role-playing, as now Librety isn't so anymore weak, and the Titan isn't invulnerable.

Maybe you heard of the popular mod Freeworlds. This server was created by several it's regular players who tried to incorporate the Star Wars roleplaying in a Freelancer role-playing. So the mod was created and the server. After few months, a new version of Freeworlds came out, and the server was largely abandoned. Also the guy who was hosting the server just disappeared and it finally died about a year ago.

We tried to revive it some time after. Again most of the players were Freeworlds players. We were trying to get a new server, and just did some role-playing on the forum. After some trying, the guy who offered to host the server changed his mind, the forums went down and it was dead. Again.

This is the third attempt to start it, and we already have a server that's online! And we agreed to try and spread it away from the Freeworlds community, so I started posting around the boards to see if I can attract anyone.

I wrote a whole history there, I hope it wasn't for nothing!
