Don't forget Portugal only won after panelties. Some modesty after winning a game after penalties is appropriate.
(just like after going through, because the Czechs beat Germany)
btw, I think we were just joking, well I was for sure, but I think Kuno was too.
Ok some modesty but we know we were the best team. 27 shots ... 62% ball possesion .

YEEEEEEEEEES
NETHERLANDS ARE TROUGH :P:P:P
half finals here we come
Were you will find the Portugese :) PORTUGALLLLLLL PORTUGALLLLLLLL lets hope we see a nice game from 2 attacking sides.
I REALLY hata to an ***, but the match between Holland and Sweden really ****ed - i felt like i saw a re-run of the match between Portugal and England ! i.e. i can't understand why the teams use this "trench warfare" tactic, because it hits'em like a boomerang - why ? - because if they use this tactic the players will suffer from fatique - due to the length of the match and they have to end the match with a game of "russian roulette": the penalty shoot-out, where absolutly EVERYTHING can happen and no-one can predict the outcome !
If i was the coach i would spend the first half of the match to play a little safe but still attack and in the second half i would say to the players "Do or DIE !" or "Either we fly OR crash and burn !" and this means that instead of playing 4 - 4 - 2 or 4 - 3 - 3 i would play something like 0 - 5 - 5 or 0 - 6 - 4 !!!!
Yea, the game ****ed :( I expected both teams prefering defense from attacks, but this was little too much. I think that penalty in second half might have been given. It would be not fair (!!!!!!!!!), but it would give some impulse to the game and then it would look like both extra times. Those 30 minutes were far better than 90 minutes before.
Since I wanted both teams to get through, It was not that much important to me...
but now I am afraid of the Dutch. If we beat Danes today, it would be very probable to the final be repeat of game in group., the best game in groups I mean. And it would be very dangerous to meet "revived Holland"
@Elewyn - you don't need to worry about Holland since *teasing* your team isn't gonna meet'em
To be a little more serious: i think we'll see the same "trench warfare" tactic from Holland in their next match aswell and the reason for this is that this tactic went so well this time and as the bright guys says: "If it ain't broke, don't fix it !" - it's just to bad for the game that it has to be this way - but it's my hope that neither Denmark or Czechia will be a part of this and instead try to take a chance and attack because it much more fun to watch for us as spectators.
About SWE-HOL.
Sweden plays the game they have the players for. In the old Europe (without the new small countrys like Moldavia and Azerbajian) Sweden was used to never lead a game but to defend and then to counter. These tactics has prevailed with these two last coaches. So when both teams doesn't want to take the initiative in a match it will be boring...
But I'm actually disapointed with the Dutch, it's against their image to play the way they did against Sweden. Sure they had more possesion but the teams were equal in goal chances (maybe even Swedens chances were closer...?).
I don't think Holland will win with that kind of play against Portugal.
With my Slavic ancestry I now hope for the Czechs to win it all!
As my favourites are out, I'm for Czechs now. Go go go, czechs!!!
And final will be between Czechia and Netherlands.
Btw, Marcelo Lippi is a new coach of Italy!!!
one thing I missed in HOL-SWE. Midfield. Both teams had excellent strikers and excellent defenses. But Ljungberg was the only good midfielder in that match. I was disappointed by Davids. Only after Kälström and Wilhelmson came, it was better.

Agreed!
The general agrement here in Sweden is that Sweden won't go all the way with that midfield.
Finally they let Östlund play from start on right defender, he held off Robben good!

lats 2 favorites stay alive:
Czech republic and Holland
YOU are right guys the game between holland and sweden ****ed but dont forget Sweden gave all they had what else could they do more than that ?? dont forget they played against Holland one of the worlds best teams, for me it was Holland that did not give all they can offer with all the talents they posses. goo portugal !
I love the Greece national team. They have a german trainer, Otto Rehagel, and a player from Germany: Angelos Charisteas. His goal against France was wonderful and I hope, he will be a star in the half final.
Quick reaction halftime CZE-DEN; what's wrong with Grönkjars head...? Thinking about that situation when the Czech goalkeeper tried to position his wall at a freekick.
And everytime the ref blows the pipe he acts like he's got rabies.
If you can't act sportsman like on the field, don't play...
The Czechs scored!
Now I maybe don't have to see Grönkjar anymore during this tournament:cheers:
Otherwise Denmark, great play in the first half!
Seems Danes has a very real chance to go home!muhuhuhahahaa
this isn't fair....

agree, I think the Danes played better than the Czechs. I was pretty disappointed with the Czechs, frankly, I expected a lot more than that. Why do that play counterfootball????
Ah well, I guess against Greece they will have to attack a bit more.
Little comment on yesterdays game. Dutch didn't play very well, but the Swedes played even worse. I think Holland is the right winner, but of course I'm biased ;). I look forward to the Semi-finals, although I'm pretty sure the Czechs will be in the final.
