There were Pavise Arbalesters in MTW. They were pretty heavy.

:o oeps :D I forgot that one :D Thanks for updating my memory card in my head Pikeman :D
I do not know if it fits in the timeline of the game....and how they are called (maybe they are allready mensioned) But troops on elephants is something I would like very much (in civ III you have them too)
i think you guys have not yet mentioned peasants as a unit....
perhaps not the most common 'soldier' but it might be usefull to have your peasants defend an area or even a city in case your knight is occupied elsewhere... ;)
besides, it would be fun to watch your subjects fight the enemy with their pitchforkes... (or be absolutely slaughtered :D )

Well i doubt you can control the peasents. I also don't think you can use then to fight. I think they are controled by the a.i. to just gather resources. They can be killed i hope.

Sadly... I think I have to agree with you....don't think that it can....would have been great...but the game will still be great:go:
Oh then i was wrong. Can you control peasents? or Does the A.I. control them?
