It was in the year 1994. In that year, one of the greatest RPG-games ever would come to this world. The name: The Elder Scrolls: Arena; the world: Tamriel; the mission: recover the parts of the staff of chaos; the hero: you!
This was the beginning of one of the greatest RPG-series ever. It started in 1994 with Arena, in 1696 came Daggerfall and in 2002 Morrowind with its two expansions: Bloodmoon and Tribunal. Those were games with a gigantic world (aggerfall was so big, walking from one end of the map to the other would take as long as walking from one end of Great Britain to the other!!), self-chosen character class, race, gender and look and a great story and many things to do. In 1997 came TES Legends: Battlespire, an Action-game in Tamriel, and in 1998 TES Adventures: Redguard, an Adventure game in Tamriel.
Here you can discuss about the Elder Scrolls games and vote which one was best.
I like Daggerfall best, but I don't have the game and don't know where to buy it. Please, tell me where to buy it! I wanna have it!!!

I like morrowind best, and I wouldn't consider Bloodmoon and Tribunal as a serperat games... I never played Daggerfall nor Battlespire and only a little of Reguard. Now, I know it's a great crime, and I do plan I correct that mistake very soon!

A cool test about how much you love the Elder scrolls games and what crazy things you did in the games.
Quite funny for players of the games ;)
The coolest aggerfall question:
Did you ever kill yourself just to see the death sequence?
(In the game! In the game!)

Yeah, Gothic and Elder Scrolls are the best RPGs ever, everytime I'm bored I play either Daggerfall, Morrowind or Gothic2 :)

I hate these games...especially Morrowind...ok hating would be a strong word, but I really don't like Morrowind f.e. You wander around for hourse...I bored myself to death...
Nothing can outmatch Baldur's Gate series...

I played Neverwinter Nights, and i got sooooooooo bored, cuz i was in a city and i had to search about every house, cuz in every house could be the secret entrance....and believe me, cities in NN are not just a bit huge...

Yeah, Neverwinter Nights is stupid.
But in Daggerfall you could make a fast travel: Just select fast travel, say the place you want to go and your char. moves there like in Baldur's Gate2. And you only stop when creatures are in your way. And in MW, I never walked, but used Silt Strider or boats.
Daggerfall was wayyyy better! They have taken out so many things that were good in Daggerfall when they made Morrowind, so many people who loved Daggerfall don't like Morrowind. But many people who like Morrowind, love Daggerfall. Morrowind is one example for many sequels today: Make good graphics and take everything out that makes the game too complicated, so that even dumbasses can play it.

happy you don't have to make a polly with every thread you create, i am sorry but its getting annoying, can't we just discuse thing without polls. Oh but i thing morrowind was good for a while but then i got boored of walking great distances and since i didn't like using magic it made it even longer. I really like Gothic 2 and i can't wait till the usa version of the expantion come out, forgot what its called. And i thought that was the best rpg i have played yet, i have played it bout 5 times. Ever sen Fable for Xbox it looks to be a very good rpg.

Well, polls dont do any harm, do they?

HappyAdolf

Yeah, polls don't do any harm :)
And as Angryminer said, RPGs are games where you ca create a character whose role you will play in the whole game, maybe even live the game.
And Cork2, Gothic 3 will come out in fall this year here in Germany! I loved the fighting-system and the humor. And another great thing about RPGs is their great story and athmosphere.
