Bosphorus a River? Take a look at your World Map.... those one where all Countries are on it, not only the USA... A hint for you you will find it in nowadays Turkey no not the Animal the Country....

don't be so judgemental.

I know the body of water between Asia minor and Constantinople/Byzantium/Istanbul is a strait.
the Imagine thousands of men horses and wagons piled up waiting to cross a river. hehe.
had nothing to do with the Bosphorus. I was stating..
"Imagine thousands of men, horses, and wagons piled up waiting to cross a river... (note, not the straits)

BTW. It is the same conceptual reality. Black and Mediterranian seas are connected by one "narrow" stretch of water. same setup that Galilea and Dead Sea have with the Jordan river...

so... :go: to you for assuming I know nothing of geography. Can you tell me where the valley of Hattin is located without looking at a map? how bout an easy one... Orkney Islands. :)

Even though is no GOOD war, the one I find the most interseting is of course WWII. I mean you can't get any better than Patton controling 3rd Army. And another thing why did you put the Iraq war on there. None of the were great. I am also suprise the the American Rev. isn't on there. I know your not an American but it was 13 colonies takeing on the superpower of the world. And then later becoming the superpower of the world.

Well, everybody said, that war is never a good thing, so I don't say it anymore...

I find the 2.Punic war with Hanibal the most interesting, a lot of wars are interesting to read about, also if it was better if they never happen...

Btw: Also WW1 is an interesting thing, have you ever seen the movie "All quiet on the western front"? (In German: "Im Westen nichts Neues"). Great and interesting movie, there didn't happen nothing during all this years, millions of soldiers were sent to death! Ever heard from Verdun...terrible to imagine what had happen there...:nono:

Hattin is in todays Israel or Lebanon (I think Israel, close to the lake Genesaret (in Swedish)) and Orkney west of the coast of Scotland...me thinks...

Yeah, but I didn't like the mission, you couldn't build stone walls, towers and castles.

Thats the problem with Deserts everywhere Sand Sand and more Sand. No Stones to build something except pebbles :p Your right it was frustrating only to build wooden palisades.

Yeah, but I didn't like the mission, you couldn't build stone walls, towers and castles. But you didn't need them, this one was easy to end early. I didn't worry about defense, I summoned all my troops to the upper left of my northern settlement and trained as many troops as I could and sent everything(with a monk trailing behind) over to break down the palisades around the relic, then sent them deeper in enemy territory to draw the enemy units after them. Then I had the monk get the relic and start for the Horns of Hattin I trained more troops and another monk or two(in case the relic toting one got killed) sending them to help defend the monk's retreat. Once the relic was within the flagged area at the Horns of Hattin, mission over!

Yeah, but I love to build imposant fortresses...
But the mission was easy, the enemy had no fortifications, too, but their town centers had a longer range (special ability of the teutons...)

@Kuno, Yeah I know that first link, I have downloaded from there. I looked at the 2nd one but couldn't really tell what I was looking at, not knowing the language. I might try to cipher some of it out with a translator and download some of them. Or you could tell me the names of the really good ones there and I could get them. :D
