I have many swords, axes, shields and helmets.
Very good!
But if you want some really good, hand forged stuff go here:
http://www.raven-armoury.co.uk/
or here:

And as I fence since I was 7 yo I'd personally prefer this:

Enguarde! ;)

Nice blades, Veso! Not exactly within my price range, but I don't think I could wait 4 years for one (hey, that's twice as long as most computer games take! :O)
@blood:
Some fencing masters teach sword combat, for actors, mostly. They usually require you to learn some regular fencing first, though.
If you just want to learn some swordplay, I suggest you visit a couple LARPs - there are usually some people to be found there who can teach you at least some basic moves.
Edit: Oops - Frujin was faster, and - of course - more resourceful, it seems. Cool sites! :)
That's a nice price.
I've always wanted a suit of armour, but you could buy a car
for the price of a decent suit ;)
@Luc: Nice to meet you!!! As for the blades ... doh ... watching/choosing/having - what's the difference ;)
wow id love to do a sword fighting class
thanks alot for those links

Have a few blades working at the renfest, but do know a little history two. Many tried to avoid duels in that time, because when they won the battle, it was like they became one with the sword and they could feel everything that was happening with the death blow and they realized that one day that that could be them.
Very true, Highlander!
Actually in Medieval times the typical casualties were something like 3-5%. The huge battles we know about are rather an exception than a rule.
In "real" sword fight, the skills were important, but very often they were swept by the "luck". Sadly, but many sword masters died just because of bad mixture of the random factors.
