They said the AI diplomacy will be improved, hopefully they will adress that when some AI declares a war (if not forced), it can maintain it and it is ready for one, also that you just said - taking only 3k for attacking very rich and big country...difficult. What relations you were with that ally? If less than neutrall and he is ready for war, why not, they just need some provoking. If you are in good relations he won't declare war on you (hopefully...otherwise it will smell like a bug)

If you don't help him in his *problems* the relation meter will slowy go down to Normal...and one more mistake - agresive king behavor and your former ally is againts you.
For example I got one enemy who was at bad relations with me but never attacked me, since the king behavour was pacifistic.

his mood was united, but can't remember his character

bydaway, why is this game called knights of honor anyway. You never see a knight of honor, they're all greedy little buggers who'd sell their own offspring for some gold or land. Just look at what it says with the kings, greedy, dishonourable, militaristic, you never really see a good guy... should be called knights are bastards

You must take that role :)
If united, maybe it's a bug.

I do not worry too much about the motives, or lack of, of the AI to declare war, because mine are not too noble in comparison, i.e. land, money ... power.
what i have not seen in the game is, while a city is under attack or siege, that city improvements are beeing detroyed. i don't think it is impossible, that whilst your city is under attack, a fire arrow goes astray an hits your bakery or the stables or whatever an burns the su.... down.
No reason either, that any rebellious army couldn't attack one of your cities and doing some damage there instead of only attacking poor, undefended monasteries or villages, even more so, if the city in question lacks a citywatch and is defended only by peasants or not at all.
what i would like to do on a diplomatic level is to ask for or grant units to/from an ally. Naturally, those units should be above mere peasants, maybe limited to the special units your kingdom or provinces can supply. You should be able to designate a rally-point in a teritory you control to the units you agreed to contribute to your ally's war effort, the necessary units would be levied in your cities and if the promised units are all assembled at said rally-point, they would depart on their own to the ally. For the units you're expecting from an ally, you should also be able to set a rally-point in your teritory and if they (hopefully) arrive, it's like going to a mercenary camp with a marechal, but without paying. The payment, of course, might have already been due when negociating the deal with said ally in the first place. Taking the idea one step furhter would be to offer/ask for a whole army, including a marshal. Everyone should be able to imagine what happens wenn you lose the province containing your rally-point before either your contribution left fot the ally or your where able to gather the arriving units with one of your own marshals.
so let's wait and see what the (hopefully soon available) first patch contains as far as the AI and its not always easily comprehensible behaviour is concerned.

more like stupidity...
Now please, explain, HOW do you know it is stupidity, not a bug and what is the difference in this for an Artifacal Inteligence?

Mike, most of those features are not there cuz of the game balance. It will be stupid (althou realistic) for 1 catapult to shoot several times and then flee. And for 20 seconds battle to drop down your master swordmanship, plate armorer and so on - around 15k buildings, that will be build around 10 minutes (if not rushed).
About the units, I dunno. I think it is a game decidion not to be able to move armies without marshalls, or transfer between marshalls on the field.

if it was a bug it would a flaw in the game, if it really is a bug they're must be some random character development script that chooses greedy knights to spawn way to often or something.. I think it's just a thing they looked over, or they did it to make the game more interesting.. it beats me.. doesn't bother me that much anymore anyway, they're to scared to fight me now cause im powerfull, still offly weird those moslim countries refuse to have peace with me even if i offer the absurd amounts of cash. That and the fact they're on the far right of the map while im on the far left, doesn't make sence....

Positioning isn't that big advantage. I remember some AI declaired WAR on me and it was the other end of the map. I said "What the hell, I am secured here", and after 4 minutes four marshalls came. - Keep in mind you can cross others borders with an ease. Just make some non agression pacts and here you go, or use a ship or something - water is noones place.

Anyway I hope the patch will do the demanded improvements.

true, but why would a country in moscow seek a fight in scotland while they're busy enough as it is fighting off they're neighbours...
