Jean d'Arc...
I like the movie with Ingrid Berman more....even it is more hollywood'ish
Luc Bessons was partly good. After Jean's capture it got boring...

The one with Ingrid Berman was a miniserie..wasn't it?
I liked the Luc Bessons one more....
but must admit that it was a while ago that I have seen the miniserie....the movie do I have on DVD....seen it a couple of times....still get shivers when she''s on the fire *thing* *(can't recall what it is called....) and then that cross... she need's to see....
Army of darknes 3
Okay it's not 100% medival :D
But most of it is placed in a medival time:cheers:
Lord of the Rings.......not in Medieval Time on this earth....but the same atmosphere....

I thought the whole trial was interesting. They took most of the dialog from the acutal transcript from the real trial.
So, mine:
Braveheart!
El Cid
Joan of Arc
I used to like Robin Hood (both versions) so much, but when I saw Kevin Costner's version for the last time, I realize Robin Hood is there like a spokesman of the people who wrote the constitution of the USA.
He's very far from medieval man. But in other ways the movie is good and I still like it.

my favourite medieval movies,
Braveheart,
Excalibur,
First Knight,
Robin Hood (all of them)
and those REALLY old (50's and 60's; barely in colour) medieval movies that you occasionally see on BBC on an early afternoon in the wintertime...
cant think of any more right now..
btw; i think a 'knight's tale' really stunk.

That movie was just horrible.
Otherwise, I like El Cid and Excalibur, and basicly everything else that isn't too childish.

Do you mean Kagemusha ? If so, I agree...I forgot about that. Fantastic movie !
But wasn't it later than Medieval, 16th century or so?
