Where can I get the readme for this? Or could you tell me whether Pakman supports command line? If yes what's the syntax?

Maybe this thread should be sticked? It always get pushed down, and people have troubles finding it.

I'm unsure of my abilities with anything but the simplest mods, so I'll ask for help here. How can I give the Kingdom of Antioch the Templar unit as a kingdom specific unit?

If it doesn't get sticked we should post "bumps" once in a while(at 2nd bump delete the first:)
PakMan is a must have for any KoH modder.

If Angryminer or Webbi disagree, feel free to unstick it again, but I also think it shuld be sticked.

I have made a program for opening the game's pak-files and want to make it public today. I guess now after the first patch has been released, the urge to modify the game has decreased a little, but of course, there's still a lot of room for modding. :)

mirror:
http://download.sunflowers.de/PakMan.exe
original:
Download PakMan (zipped, 718 KB) (http://www.stud.tu-ilmenau.de/~anho-in/PakMan.zip)

The program hasn't been tested yet by anyone but me, so it's possible that it still has flaws. Please consider that (and make backups).

For more information about that issue -> readme.txt
For a short user's manual -> readme.txt
For questions -> Please see readme first, then post here or write a PM.
Praise and thanks -> post here or PM.
Rantings, flamings and harsh critics -> e-mail to Nil@Void.com :p

It's mentioned in the readme file, but to make sure that it comes to everybody's attention:
Use this program at your own risk. I can not be held responsible for any damage to your computer resulting directly or indirectly through the use of my program.

Have fun.
After I have edited the unit file, how do I apply it to the game?

You don't. Just let it be in the original folder. KoH will read the new values from the file,s if it's correct. Make sure you saved the edited .XLS as .TXT with tab spacing too.

It has certainly been a while. :)

I've dug out and played the good old KoH again recently and thought I could pay the forum another visit after all that time. I see Laudan has made a mod, gotta test it soon. I was also as astonished as pleased to read about a second patch... will it bring us a "full" multiplayer mode? Well, I'll keep my fingers crossed.

Aaaanyway, the reason I'm posting is this, I have put the file back so that the zip download works again... You people at Sunflowers, it was very kind of you to put up a mirror on your own webspace. My own zip file has the advantage that it has the readme included, though. I don't think people are still heavily downloading this thing, but well, I thought fixing it wouldn't do any harm either. :)

Greetings to Laudan and to anyone else who's left of the "old gang". :)
