I frequently visit the Anno 1503 broads and the devs have always said that the earliest of its release would be late 2006.

well november 25 2005 is pretty near 2006 isnt it!!!!!. and i dont really think they would give wrong date to a pc game magzine which goes to alot of public would they ,i really dont think so.

I said "late 2006" meaning 3rd or 4th quarter.

Perhaps your right or the article is wrong who knows. I'll ask the devs again and hopefully this problem can be resolved.

Back to AoE 3: I wonder if we can set up colonies and if the colonist don't like your rule they could claim indepedence. That would be a great feature.

Well the last AOE was more on past history ie:Romans etc, this one seems to have been brought up to the 1812 period and focus'es on the American revolution.

Pity that.

What ANNO are we talking on,1503 or newer one.

Anno 3. It is a 3-D game that looks pretty nice. But it is too early to say.

is there a demo

lol, if you are familiar with any of the other aoe products you will know that Ensemble Studios puts out a demo a few months after the games release. There is more chance of you acquiring the beta than a demo pre-release.

The gaming news sites were also reporting that the expansion to 1503 was going to be released in the USA in the 2nd quarter of 2004, but it never was and never is. Thus you cannot really believe what the gaming news people report.

Anyway, this thread was not about ANNO. So back to AoE III.

I definitely will be buying Age of Discovery, the only Age products I do not own are the Age of Mythology series. I don't care for the mythology stuff.

they still havent given any information away about nations etc.

Largefry07
25-01-2005, 01:36
Well the most likely the nations will be are the ones that explored. Spain Portagul, England, Netherlands, and France. Also I expect that American nations will be inclued: Inca, Aztec, USA, and maybe some other modern day nations like Mexico etc and Indian nations.

Sounds like the best thing to do Is wait till game come's out, then have a look at the Demo

I would like to see how this works for the next AOE II before buying it.

There are so many good games out on this subject, I do not want to buy a repeat aoe.
The music sounds the same, just jazzed up. :bowl:

Some or screenshots have been released along with an interview of Ensemble Studio's lead programmer and director of technology Dave Pottinger. Enjoy (http://pc.ign.com/articles/594/594629p1.html)
