[battle sounds]
[Black Knight defeats a worthless-piece-of-crap-knight]
ARTHUR: You fight with the strength of many men, Sir knight.
I am Arthur, King of the Britons.
[pause]
I seek the finest and the bravest knights in the land to
join me in my Court of Camelot.
[pause]
You have proved yourself worthy; will you join me?
[pause]
You make me sad. So be it. Come, Patsy.
BLACK KNIGHT: None shall pass.
ARTHUR: What?
BLACK KNIGHT: None shall pass.
ARTHUR: I have no quarrel with you, good Sir knight, but I must
cross this bridge.
BLACK KNIGHT: Then you shall die.
ARTHUR: I command you as King of the Britons to stand aside!
BLACK KNIGHT: I move for no man.
ARTHUR: So be it!
[hah]
[parry thrust]
[ARTHUR chops the BLACK KNIGHT's left arm off]
ARTHUR: Now stand aside, worthy adversary.
BLACK KNIGHT: 'Tis but a scratch.
ARTHUR: A scratch? Your arm's off!
BLACK KNIGHT: No, it isn't.
ARTHUR: Well, what's that then?
BLACK KNIGHT: I've had worse.
ARTHUR: You liar!
BLACK KNIGHT: Come on you pansy!
[hah]
[parry thrust]
[ARTHUR chops the BLACK KNIGHT's right arm off]
ARTHUR: Victory is mine!
[kneeling]
We thank thee Lord, that in thy merc-
[Black Knight kicks Arthur in the head while he is praying]
BLACK KNIGHT: Come on then.
ARTHUR: What?
BLACK KNIGHT: Have at you!
ARTHUR: You are indeed brave, Sir knight, but the fight is mine.
BLACK KNIGHT: Oh, had enough, eh?
ARTHUR: Look, you stupid bastard, you've got no arms left.
BLACK KNIGHT: Yes I have.
ARTHUR: Look!
BLACK KNIGHT: Just a flesh wound.
[Headbutts Arthur in the chest]
ARTHUR: Look, stop that.
BLACK KNIGHT: Chicken! Chicken!
ARTHUR: Look, I'll have your leg. Right!
[whop]
BLACK KNIGHT: Right, I'll do you for that!
ARTHUR: You'll what?
BLACK KNIGHT: Come 'ere!
ARTHUR: What are you going to do, bleed on me?
BLACK KNIGHT: I'm invincible!
ARTHUR: You're a loony.
BLACK KNIGHT: The Black Knight always triumphs! Have at you!
Come on then.
[whop]
[ARTHUR chops the BLACK KNIGHT's other leg off]
BLACK KNIGHT: All right; we'll call it a draw.
ARTHUR: Come, Patsy.
BLACK KNIGHT: Oh, oh, I see, running away then. You yellow
bastards! Come back here and take what's coming to you. I'll bite
your legs off!

This one? (http://www.rit.edu/~smo4215/monty.htm#Scene%2021)

"And Saint Attila raised the hand grenade up on high,
saying, 'Oh, Lord, bless this thy hand grenade that with it thou
mayest blow thy enemies to tiny bits, in thy mercy.' And the Lord
did grin, and people did feast upon the lambs, and sloths, and
carp, and anchovies, and orangutans, and breakfast cereals, and
fruit bats, and large --"
MAYNARD: Skip a bit, Brother.
BROTHER: "And the Lord spake, saying, 'First shalt thou take out
the Holy Pin. Then, shalt thou count to three, no more, no less.
Three shalt be the number thou shalt count, and the number of the
counting shalt be three. Four shalt thou not count, nor either
count thou two, excepting that thou then proceed to three. Five is
right out. Once the number three, being the third number, be
reached, then lobbest thou thy Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch towards
thou foe, who being naughty in my sight, shall snuff it.'"

They've made a musical out that movie. It looks pretty funny. I saw a segment on 60 minutes about it.

But mine is Saving Private Ryan.

I like mainly historical movies, fantasy and comedies:
Lord of the Rings (although it could be better. We'll see what'll PJ do with "The hobbit")
Braveheart
Gladiator
Indiana Jones
the comedies of Jimm Cerry, Leslie Nilsen, the oldies (like Chaplin, Laurel & Hardy, Louis De Funes etc.)
but also some fantastic (sci-fi) like Star wars and Star Trek, although I haven't seen much of the last
I also enjoy the standart action movies (Matrix etc)
But my most favourites are the parodies like Shrek etc. I've recently found one great Russian parody version of "The Lord of the Rings". It's the real LotR but with changed Russian audio, which is awesome! Can't stop laughing!

I'm sure I've forgotten many movies I also like, so all in all I like many kinds of movies.

Edit: If I can add our home movies, I'll also say these old historicals:
681 - Glory of the Khan
Kniaz Boris
Zlatniat vek - The Golden Age
and some others like the comedy "The 13th fiancee of the prince"

Odyssey

You guys don't get it wrong, but I think Gladiator isn't worth all these praises it gets. It's so far from historical truth and its script is very stereotypical and dull, IMHO. Of course, Russel Crow did his role great and, I think, his is why Gladiator is so popular among the masses. For me Polish movie Quo Vadis was far better and more interesting (the scene with lions slaughtering christians in arena really gave me creeps  ). I think Braveheart is much better than Gladiator.

So this is my:

Forest Gump (1st ever :go: )
Good Will Hunting
Braveheart
The Others
Das Boot
Resident Evil (1st part)
Comedies by Zucker brothers and Jim Abrahams and these with Leslie Nielsen (Airplane!, Hot Shots!, Hot Shots II!, Jane Austen's Mafia, Naked Gun, Wrongfully Accused etc.). Also spoofs by Mel Brooks.
Films by Emir Kusturica (well known serbian film director and musician): Black Cat, White Cat and Life Is A Miracle
One old great russian comedy The Twelve Chairs :go:
Some animation: Shrek, Ice Age and some other

Ok ok, and Lord Of The Rings

I like Czechoslovakian classics (after Czechoslovakian film miracle in 60's and 70's of 20th century):
Vesničko má středisková
Postřižiny
Marečku, podejte mi pero
and many others like this

Also I love Monty Python's, especially their Life of Brian
and then everything made by Jim Jarmush (Coffee and cigarettes, Dead Man, Ghost Dog-the way of Samurai, ...)
Lord Of the Rings trilogy
Pulp Fiction
Trainspotting
Underground (by Emir Kosturica - I like also other his films but can't remember/translate the names)
Magnolia
Films such as Good Will Hunting, Forest Gump ...(many others I know only czech names of those )

and so called "independent american" European art movies (The window on the other side - italian film),
Amelie of Montmartre etc.
now I plan to see qute a lot of new and probably very good films such as Czech/Macedonian/German/... coproduction film (but now I can't remember the name), Fall of third Reich, Velká Voda(Czech film) and 2 others I can't actualy remember...

Forest Gump (1st ever :go: )
Yes, how could I forget Forest?! It's a GREAT movie! The reason to like Tom Hanks so much (and that he played in "The terminal", although his Bulgarian wasn't very good there).

About Gladiator, it's true it's far, far away from historical accuracy. Comodus didn't die on the arena, the least f.e. But the movie itself combined together with the awesome music is a nice thing. And Russel is nice, too. But Braveheart really is better, I agree with that.
