yes, you need to have something to offer... or at least have some tax collectors offices...

fr the start of each game(in case of small kingdoms) I recomend high taxes

I've told you W0lfshad3 that ANY other offtopic post will be deleted. So did I.

I will be glad for fair exchange of opinions and historic facts in some other thread.
I want to discuss the topic of Transylvanian history, but not here! Do you understand me?

I was just giving you ideas about east Europe unit types but since you insist on taking it personaly  (you obviously didn't read the post) i was just wasting time ...geez

@Elvain
I've been away, so I don't know if the proper download location has been found. Anyway I updated the copy of your mod at my mirror to include the corrected Hungary Quest you've posted a while ago. The link stays the same.

thanks, borsook

@w0lfshad3 I didn't take it personaly. I just informed you that posts with the topic of Romanian history will be deleted. I just did what I said to do if you would post any other such post.
And sorry that in that mess of words I haven't found any connection to KoH nor my mod...

I don't know what should Boyars(as they are Russian unit in the game) do in Romania. Maybe your language borowed some words from Slavic language(like also hungarian did) but that doesn't justify having Boyars in Trasylvania or Wallachia...

PS: if you want to discuss the offtopic thing, you didn't waste your time. I've opened this thread (http://forum.sunflowers.de/showthread.php?t=5174) for you

PS: I think that I have finaly found a reason of breaking all large kingdoms into smaller ones:
books necessary for adopting of people are set too high: it's very hard for large AI kingdoms to stay in peace for long time, so they have constant problems with loyalists and so when other rebels emerge, they are unable to deal with them.
Then, when a rebel kingdom is defeated, it still survives in nostalgy and when any kind of instability emerges in the large kingdom, loyalists are awaken.

Currently I am testing still with Ayyubids. After 6 hours 7 most powerfull kingdoms controlled 101 provinces. After 12 hours, the province number is: Ayyubids 29, Almohads 18, Hungary 11, England 10, Bohemia 8, Poland 7, Golden Horde 7 = 82
HRE was overruned by Bohemia and Burgundy and breaking kingdom of Helvetia
Venice(during long period second most powerfull) had too many enemies-wars so was unable to adopt provinces, so after the king died childless(after 3 generations of power)Venice broke down to 5 kingdoms that were revived(Sicily,Genoa,Moesia, Hellas,Lombard league) and 5 new(Tuscany, another Genoa, another Sicily, Macedonia, Dalmatia)and only 4 provinces from early conquests left to Venice

So next version will be with 120 books necessary to adopt 1nostalgia point=max 1200=books limit in HR. They definitely need to adopt people during wars

But does the AI adopts at all? Have you tested it? I thought that he doesn't know for that option, like the exotic goods...

As far as I know the AI doesn't adopt using clerics. It will just wait for the nostalgia to decrease by itself - which unfortunately doesn't happen during war.

Hmmm i saw Kiev take a province in my games(my mod) and it was set -15 nostalgia. Not long after he killed the loyalists the province had a positive happiness value. Too bad i can't think of a way to see if he really adopted that province. -15 nostalgia is pretty hard to beat and he had no kingdom power.

I'm not sure if 15 nostalgia is possible. Don't know if you changed it in your mod, but I have never encountered such nostalgia. It is always up to 10. lower in case that some say "french"* kingdom(Flandres, Burgundy, Tolouse or France) conquers province belonging to another "french" kingdom

*it is just example, it could be "german" or "italian" etc.
As far as I know the AI doesn't adopt using clerics. It will just wait for the nostalgia to decrease by itself - which unfortunately doesn't happen during war.

but note that we both disabled it by the fact that books needed to kill 10nostalgia was set up too high, so AI could adopt only after quite long time at peace
I thought about the inability of AI kingdoms and so changed it back to enable it(books needed to adopt 10nostalgia are 1200=books limit in my mod)
After this change (it happened in 10th hour of my actual game-when most of big kingdoms had serious problems with loyalists and their neighbours) big AI kingdoms(that are able to get books rapidly) started to be more stable(with less rebellions) during next 2 hours. I didn't watch if they were adopting the provinces by clerics, I will observe it. But I think they did

you can set nostalgia to any value you want in hconst.in2 -> nostalgyval =

I'll post here screenshots form my tesring games to show you how are AI kingdoms growing:
here is the first set after 1hour and half:
north east (http://img399.imageshack.us/my.php?image=hr1a1yl.jpg)
north west+rankings (http://img399.imageshack.us/my.php?image=hr1b6ls.jpg)
south west (http://img399.imageshack.us/my.php?image=hr1c0zv.jpg)
south east (http://img399.imageshack.us/my.php?image=hr1d0ks.jpg)
central part (http://img367.imageshack.us/my.php?image=hr1e0yh.jpg)
The only thing I did myself was declaration of war on Teutons. All other was done by dynamic AI kingdoms asking me for support or declaring crusades against me...
Sweden payed HRE to smash Denmark and later joined it, Lithuania joined their war against Teutons
When Muscovy declared independence from Golden Horde it was smashed by 3 Mongolian marshalls. Strong Danish loyalists were defeated several times by HRE's marshalls. HRE uses always 3 marshals(2+1royal) and it can aford it because just their trade income is 87gold+income from 21 provinces =total about 300gold per turn, HRE uses 1 spy, 1 cleric, 3 marshals and 4merchants. Other big powers use mostly 2-4 marshals, 1 cleric + 2 or more merchants. HRE, Almohads and Ayyubids use spies from the very beggining(first 30minutes)
When AI starts a war it tries to end it by total conquest of the enemy if possible. We'll se how will it evolve in next several hours

summary of eliminated/rebel new kingdoms:
eliminated: Cyprus, Denmark, Jerusalem, Kazan, Muscovy, Portugal, Scotland, Teutonic Order, Pomerania(inherited by Lithuania)
yet revived: Scotland
new rebel kingdoms: Samara(former Ryazan province), Lebanon(former Jerusalem prov.)

AI doesn't seem to adopt provinces in this first 90 minutes(gamespeed between 4and 8), but after 40 minutes all provinces had palisade.

for 2province Lithuania it was hard to find it's way to survive(no money, rebellion, crusades from bordering counties), but using good strategy (releasing first marshal at the very begining, leaving castle before being besieged with later reinforcement leading to defeat of crusader units even by ordinary swordsmen and axemen, etering wars wisely and using plundering as major income at the start) led to survival and later also agreements offered by his majesty Barbarossa of HRE himself(oh, but later he ORDERED me to enter a war with Novgorod, soon after signing an alliance)

So when is this fine 1.05 version going to be avalable?

Elvain

I don't know. Right now I'm very satisfied... I returned peasants back(removed them during testing), but just now I've done some minor changes(little edited number of rebels/loyalists per kingdom/province, made "good" AI personality little more peaceful, and all little more honurable. But those are just minor changes that would not require too long testing. I'd like to "release" it by friday, so I believe untill monday it could be done
