Uhm... That's not for the UEFA groups. It's the third preliminary circle (the qualifications). And I doubt we'll be able to pass! CSKA - Leverkusen... :nono:

Well I already saw - CSKA:Liverpool! CSKA played great, but was beaten with 3:1 and its later victory on "Anfield" with 1:0 wasn't enough. Yes, Bayer Leverkusen might not be the European champion for the previous year, but I still have serious doubts for a win. And, unfrotunately, our other teams are too weak even for Oxer! But I wouldn't mind if a wonder happens, as you say...
Btw some hope-giving statement:
The technical director of Bayer (Leverkusen) Rudi Föler is respected from the victory of CSKA over the European club champion Liverpool with 1:0 at "Anfield" and expects hard games with Bulgaria's champion in the first circle of the tournament for the UEFA Cup.
CSKA is a very good team. It will be very hard for us, but I'm glad we'll be in Sofia, he commented in a short interview for radio "Sport". It won't be easy at all. I expect Berbatov to tell us much about his ex-club, he's the greatest player of Bayer and is of great importance to us. I saw the game on "Anfield". The players of CSKA defeated one great team and we're a little worried that we'll play with them.

Of course, this is just out of courtesy, but who knows what can happen - the ball is round...
Uhm... That's not for the UEFA groups. It's the third preliminary circle (the qualifications).
It's not for the groups, but those aren't qualifications, either. It's just that you have first round of UEFA cup which is knock-out, than groups, that knock-out again :silly:
Partizan plays against Macabi Petah Tikva, and Crvena Zvezda against Braga. I have the full confidence in our teams that we can get to the groups, but Partizan needs to start scoring more goals...

Aham, that's why I don't really like Real - too much business, too little real football.

results from yesterday:
A Club Brugge 1-2 Juventus
A Rapid 0-1 Bayern
B Sparta 1-1 Ajax
big portion of luck for Sparta in first half.
B Arsenal 2-1 Thun
bad luck for Thun only 50 seconds before the end of match.
C Udinese 3-0 Panathinaikos
C Bremen 0-2 Barcelona
D Benfica 1-0 Lille
D Villarreal 0-0 Man. United
B Sparta 1-1 Ajax
big portion of luck for Sparta in first half.
the first half was nothing but ig embarassment. I rather left the tv than watch such terrible performance from Sparta.
At the beggining I held for Sparta(though it's the team I hate the mostin czech league), but after 15 minutes it was clear that Sparta is unable to perform anything.
Luckily Matuovič came in second half and things started to change.
PS:Thun really had more than luck during the entire match, but finaly fairness decided to help Arsenal. Also Bergkamp almost sacrifised hiself to score - he might be heavily injured or score, he scored :go: that's what I call courage

So I think this is his last year in good club, he is already 36...

B Ajax 20:45 Arsenal
B Thun 20:45 Sparta
C Panathinaikos 20:45 Bremen
C Barcelona 20:45 Udinese
D Man. United 20:45 Benfica
D Lille 20:45 Villarreal
best luck to all of fans
Barca - Udinese gonna be really interesting, our television will broadcast this match from Camp Nou. I don't think Catalonians will find it easy to breach Friulianni defence, and there is also Iaquinta who can score to make Barca fans sad  Of course, if Barcelona create a quick goal, the final result can be devastating...
I have heard Thun have defeated Sparta
congratz to Thun. Sparta performs terribly so I wish good luck to Thun to defeat also Ajax :go:

ou I forgot to post the results, so here you are:
Group Home Away
A Bayern 1-0 Club Brugge
A Juventus 3-0 Rapid
B Ajax 1-2 Arsenal
B Thun 1-0 Sparta
C Panathinaikos 2-1 Bremen
C Barcelona 4-1 Udinese
D Man. United 2-1 Benfica
D Lille 0-0 Villarreal
I think, sparta has some problems to keep concentration till the end of match, both goals (home again Ajax and in Thun) were shot in last minutes..

Congrats, Mirco! I saw an article in the sports papers today: "Artmedia charmed Europe, Chelsea and Liverpool tormented the ball for a zero draw"...
Nice victory, Mircoslavux
These Chelsea and Liverpool... Almost fell asleep in the second half. And this is so praised English football... :nono:
