Everyday I'm getting the impression that most north americans have a poor and targeted point of view. But not all.

pff, you guys are not nice with albanians. But beware, from a north american point of view, abanian, bulgarian, roumanian etc. are about the same(low tech, Lada cars, corruption...). So you are hurting the reputation of your own country too :)

I agree with you, except that we drive only Ladas. Almost all of the cars in Albania are Mercedes and half of the cars in BG are Mercedes & BMWs. Yes, there might be low tech, but our computer specialists are one of the best in the world (2nd place - first is China). Yes, corruption is high, but don't tell me there's no corruption in your country, too. I'm not trying to hurt anybodys reputation, actually I was thinking of replacing Albanian with Bulgarian, but I kept the original. So nothing personal. Peace to you all!

"Almost all of the cars in Albania are Mercedes and half of the cars in BG are Mercedes & BMWs."

Weird. Is it because only rich people can buy car over there ? Mercedes and BMW are fairly uncommon over here. People prefer japanese and american cars. They are their spare parts are cheaper. And here in Quebec, Volkswagen is fairly popular but it's the only canadian province where it is so. Some would say it's because of our small european side :) American who don't have the cash or/and time to go in France come to Quebec city, with its old buildings, nice restaurants and its french signs everywhere... it's almost like France.

The terrain in Albania is very rough - almost all of Albania is a mountain. And as far as I know Mercedes is one of the most endurable cars. And is manufactured in Germany - close to us. But not only the rich people buy cars - just the rich people usually have more than one car.

btw I know you don't have BMWs and such there. That's why I've said it. Over an year ago Steven Seagal was here to make a movie and he came with 3 Mercedeses, thinking he'll be so great. And when he saw the cars here, his eyes became:O :beek: :bconfused :nono:  . For your relief we rarely see Ferraris here.
