Frank Fay.

Lithuanians rider unit was even in TW:Medieval. I really hope that Your team will found some solution and we will have such a unit in KOH too because like I wrote in Horse topic it would be really stupid if all horsemen in Lithuanian army will be boyars or steppe riders... :(

please help and bring happiness to us:bday:

:D no, we are just a little peaceful nation with old traditions and need to respect our history a little bit more like other "multimillions" nations if we want to survive

Hey man, calm down and have a hamburger! :D

LOL. Don't worry, I'm a wierd American... I actually go to other nations and speak their language, not english as much as I can. I eat the local food, avoid other americans ('cause I'm not in Romania to see other Americans for crying out loud), and really enjoy learning about my own silly limitations because of my own culture.

It's fun.

But- I'm a wierd American- met plenty of the other sort in my travels. The sort I wish we could call Canadians and have done with it.

I agree with you Siena in most of your points.

Only the prize of units. When a Lithuanian "king" conqueres whole Rus, he's still a conqueror, I don't think that the prize should lower then. because local people will see you still as conqueror. (Imagine you are Russian. Lithuainans conquere your region first, but after some time they conquere whole Russia. Will your behavior to them change only because of this fact?).

I think this is becoming too detailed, You have to consider if highlanders would like to fight for the English, if for the French, Norweegean, Irish, German etc. (finally all available nations) That's too complicated.

Elewyn, reality was way more complicated than game would probably want to show :)
First of all - there was not really a concept of nationality then. However people still felt that they have more in common with similar cultures and less in common with others.
For example, when Lithuanian Grand Dukes subjugated some Rus lands - the most important thing required of them - was soldiers - or rather military participation of subject Rus military contingents at the call of Lithuanian Grand Duke.
As you would guess - Lithuanian rulers could not really rely on Rus soldiers when fighting with other Rus Duchies. For that purpose - Lithuanians were used. However, when fighting with Germans and other Westerners (including Poles), or against Mongols - then Russians were as reliable as Lithuanians were.
This is how it was for most of Middle Ages in Grand Duchy of Lithuania.

However this would be way too complicated for game to show. ;)

The main point is, that each region supplies their own soldiers - with their own armor, weapons and so on. And they fight for their ruler. If their ruler - is their original native ruler - they may fight more willingly - or cheaply (I would think Lithuanians fought for free when defending from Teutonic Order). But in the end they will fight for whoever rules them, if only it pays well :)
The main body of Livonian or Teutonic Orders armies consisted of native Balts - Prussians, Curronians, Lettigallians and so on...
(But one of the most important battles - battle of Durbe in 1260 was won by Lithuanians when Curonians - who were fighting on Livonian side - suddenly changed sides)
