I liked the Rambo movies, but I think the Rambo book was better. It was much more intense, and Rambo was more of an anti-hero kind of character. If you haven't read it you should.

i chose not on the list because my favorite war movie is Glory with Denzel Washington, Morgan Freeman, Matthrew Brodrick and other good actors, but i liked most of them accept for the rambo one, that was kind sense and useless, would schinedler's list work for war movie? if so that was a good one as well:cheers: last sumarai, braveheart, gladiator, last of the mochicans were all good movies as well :)

thats true.
but the events happening in schindlers list take place during war, not before it. its a movie about a wartime profiteer and i would not call it "war movie".

black hawk down
it showd many battles but sometimes it was a bit booring.
i cant call it a war moive but it was war on terroism.
I voted "Windtalkers", it is about the native americans that used their lanquage to code messages during the war. The Japanese were unable to decode the messages! Although Braveheart is also a favorite of mine. And I have just recently seen Gladiator for the first time and enjoyed it very much!

I don't like war movies - but once, I saw "Ivanovo Detstvo" ("Ivan's Childhood"), a Russian film. After that, it took me a while before I could speak about it, and even longer to get it out of my nightmares.
Braveheart is my favourite :go:
Gladiator is wonderful, Last Samurai looks very nice, too.
But you forgot "Black Hawk Down" - The best "Against-War"-Movies, I've ever seen.
